Tesco came up as the cheapest. Unfortunately, when I tried to buy it at the advertised price they were not selling it at that price and wanted about half as much again even though I didn't want to change anything or upgrade!!! So I decided to use the next company, Admiral. Their price was as advertised but when I tried to purchase it, I got right the way through the process but the screen said no insurance had been purchased and no money had been taken. 😳 However, when I phoned them they said the policy was in place but I still haven't had any documentation. Now I'm really very confused!!! Am I covered or not????? Appaling customer service. Your next question is irrelevant as I have no idea but your portal doesn't give me that option!

tried to get green flag reward not possible -phone confused 15mins then they cut me off.- you dont save any money cos you spend it on the phone complaining to you-never again

Tried to buy off Admiral. Their system crashed when I wanted to pay. I lost out on a competitive premium and a good offer from Topcashback. Will probably switch t a different comparison site

When ever I try to buy home insurance for 2020/2021 every few hour's change the price is it a joke? If I contact insurance company they told price is not valid

Gave me a list of offers without building insurance when I asked for building insurance . Then transferred me to another site which did not let me complete my application purchase and did not make contact as offered . Made me enter details multiple times and insisted on restarting from scratch after logging in rather than transferring the already entered details. Very frustrating experience all around .

The final policy offered by Admiral was worse than promised in the quote. I noticed this after supplying payment. I contacted both Admiral and Confused to have this rectified and have heard nothing back from either. I shall not be using either again. Very disappointed.

I spent hours going through quotes and transferring to provider and completing details. When it came to making payment, I had lots of problems and thought it might be settings on my computer so changed settings and found it wasn't that. Eventually managed to complete payment but wasted so much time!

Pointless to recommend agencies who do not follow through when you try to buy a premium, as not available to discuss a quote. And no response from confused.com when I pointed this out.

because I had used Confused to obtain quotes previously for my son it would not accept two users with the same e mail address so "CONFUSED", yes I was!!!!! I had to call Privilege direct

When I clicked on the quote and went to their site it was only then that they told me the quote was based on certain assumptions so I did not qualify for their insurance. Had the confused.com site told me about those assumptions earlier on I would not have wasted my time filling in all the details. I did discuss with the company but the quote went up and raised too many queries anyhow.

The first few cheapest insurance options your site recommended excluded the specific items I added, so after looking into each insurer’s policies, I found each insurance company’s disclosure information quite vague in terms of what they intended to cover (namely if they intended to cover specific items over £1000). Naturally I lost my confidence in the process and just left my policy with my current insurer to renew. I found the same fault with a comparison site competitor of yours, so it may be that insurance companies are just trying to undercut the other competitors with cheaper prices (but also excluding items that are inputted into your site), which seems to be bad business practice and misleading sales practices, which is against FCA regulations, I’d suggest you investigate it as I can’t imagine you’d escape the scold of the authorities.
