I don't make recommendations to anyone regarding services or products. If something goes wrong its my fault! Confused is one of four comparison sites I use for every renewal of vehicle and home insurance. I have no loyalty to confused - I'll pick the best deal

The reward scheme is really confusing. To get £20 fuel you have to first spend £20 and then you can be eligible for the reward that is really not I thought. So it is a scam to get customers trapped and bribe.

I selected a £20 Fuel reward when buying home insurance. I understood I needed a ShellGo account, but it Now appears I need to make 10 purchases before I receive my reward. This should have been made clear at the time I bought the insurance. As there is not a Shell petrol station near me, this will be inconvenient.

Hello Graham, The '10 visits to a Shell petrol station' offer is a Shell offer they provide themselves and not the Confused.com reward offer. The Confused.com reward offer is a £20 voucher that can be used in one visit at a Shell garage. However, please make sure the Confused.com reward is the only reward turned on in your Shell account when you visit a Shell garage to use our reward. I hope this helps.

I obtained a quote which did offer a price but when I tried to proceed the Site would not allow me to finish and pay the quoted price . The site requested my postcode, which I entered several times to no avail . This was time consuming and frustrating.

You keep addressing correspondence to my husband and not me when I am the person entering all the information. It also defaults to him as the first policyholder. Sexist!

It is important to note that we only allow one account and password to be active for each email address, but multiple people can use the same account to obtain quotes. As you have advised that all correspondence has been addressed to your husband, it seems probable that you have selected him as the main user in the account. You will be able to edit these details at any time in your ‘Account details’. Very CONFUSING to use your site. Products offered unclear. When switch to provider, details don't match. Have bought more cover than I need. Then day after buying, got an email from you saying time running out to renew. Took ages to understand offering and purchase.

They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for other drivers with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. They offer incentives to get you to buy their insurance, fuel gift card, then the fuel voucher doesnt work and they make out that its my fault.....what is wrong with these people ?????
