Home Insurance - Good (Very Good) BUT, tried for breakdown cover for our vehicles: Website didn't enable me to 'build' the cover I wanted a quote for. Spoke to 'chat' and got advice. That didn't work either so I emailed advising position and outlining what I wanted asking for a quote or reply that you couldn't provide cover as I need/want.........................no reply. Not good.

It doesn’t match the real price confused. Com says £220 but when you call price goes to £650

I used your website to purchase a More Than home insurance and completed payment with a Visa debit card on 10/7/20. I did not receive a confirmation email from More Than but did receive confirmation of a free gift of a Shell petrol voucher (which I claimed after the insurance purchase ! There is no facility on the website to query when a purchase is not confirmed except by the usual email route (which may take 3 - 5 days!) Finally resolved the "failed purchase" on 14/7/20 by phone direct to the Insurer's !

Although I listed my bike as a separate item, the recommended insurer didn't cover a bike of that value, so I ended up getting insurance elsewhere

I was led to believe I was applying for Flood insurance on confused.com but this wasn't the case. once I had filled in the details it was clear this wasnt flood insurance. You need to address this v misleading issue!

The first company that Confused directed me to (Home Protect) for buildings insurance gave a good price, which was fine until I read the small print; "Not covered for escape of water between November and April", end of story. No mention of keeping the heating on etc, just "Not covered". Confused no more!

Hidden clauses within the stripped out policy. Looks good £££ - but no cover in outbuildings as standard and lots of bits are extra that are standard when going through a normal broker...

Quoted price on confused.com does not tally up with insurer's website quote. Once you have added legal cover and home emergancy cover.

I called Admiral as advised , after waiting over 10 minutes to get through then after answering a few questions the phone line went bad the lady said she'd transfer me to another line , that took another 5 minutes whereupon a different lady answered and I had to go through the same questions , she seemed to have trouble understanding me and I had to keep repeating my answers to the point It got very frustrating so i ended the call, noone bothered to call me back so obviously my custom was not that important to them.

I have tried on line many times to get home contents filled everything in correctly then at the end says not filled in correct done this 8 times , so iv ring 4 times and still can’t get through, very annoyed

I got a good new customer quote from Admiral through confused and thought it sensible to contact the insurer to tell them that this new customer quote was cheaper than their automatic renewal quote - after 30 mins on the phone line I eventually gave up and contacted them via email - the gentleman typed back the message that he could alter my renewal to the same price but the excesses were £250 for contents and £250 for buildings instead of £350 for each under renewal - I guess he could not find this even though I quoted a reference no and said at my request that he would cancel renewal and I could buy this new policy through confused - but when I came to retrieve quote the next day I was unable to and it just jumped onto next cheapest insurer. I got an email from Admiral to say they were sorry I would not be renewing insurance with them despite me telling this guy I was typing to and from that I would be. After a disappointing experience from both Admiral and confused.com (who I believe are one and the same company) I have go e elsewhere for my insurance.

Service not bad though the results are radically different each time you obtain a quote, and they neglect to tell you which suppliers are omitted. I’d much sooner not have to use comparison sites, since insurance companies should reward loyalty rather than punishing us with higher premiums, even if they were best value the previous year
