I had most of the same questions to answer again when I went on to the Admiral website. Then they were unable to offer me insurance.

Admiral wouldn’t proceed with the policy because ‘apparently’ I had a flood claim still open from 2008!! I have been insured with no problem for 14 years since 2008, & had no claims since. They wanted evidence the claim was closed. I phoned the ins co. of 14 years ago who didn’t understand it either and confirmed the case was closed in 2009. They gave written evidence of this which I sent to Admiral as per their request. I called Admiral again to take out the Policy but they still questioned me and wasted my whole lunch hour and I got no further!! I was livid. In the end I just renewed with my previous company which of course lost me my £35 cashback which I could not afford to do. I was most dissatisfied. They let you down!

because as from my email ,my name does not appeared on quotation. I was willing to let the matter go with policy expert but now i am going to make an official complaint FCA

Dreadful site. Laborious, time consuming, much of it irrelevant. Easier to got to companies own site direct.

100% online, won't assist if you have to phone up and ask questions. Doesn't give much confidence if you need to claim. I appreciate most companies want to push you online but most have SOME sort of phone assistance.

Pointless waste of my time when the prices do not give details of cover until you have bought it and you cannot get answers to your questions. 2hrs of my life wasted on a ridiculous site

Even tough I filled in the Compare form accurately, One Insurance came back with a price of £550 NOT the quoted £285. So what was the point in that? Total waste of a lot of time. Won't use GoCompare again.

We updated all details including a claim and received a good deal. HOWEVER, underwriting changed the excess from £1k to £7.5k for subsidence. Very disappointing given the information we provided up front about the claim. May not use confused.con again.

My own experience with on line purchase is bad. I've been trying to get the cover sent to me!!!! No LUCK What sort of website is this??

I tried to find a quote for house insurance via this web page, received 2 quotes, was directed to the company went though the process, paid via debit card, only to find the payment had not gone though, tried several times no success! Debit card valid , apparently problem at their end - not heard anything from the company since!!! Not impressed

The prices displayed on your results page are all calculated and returned by our panel of insurance providers, based on the information you entered on our website. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for other drivers with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. If you would like to query any of your prices, we would recommend calling the insurer directly and they should be able to explain this to you in more detail. I hope this helps. Confused.com is a very good name for this app! Very very difficult to navigate took me ages and I’m not a technophobe at all. Almost impossible to claim the reward afterwards definitely will not use Confused.com again!
