Have wasted a lot of time trying to get through to someone to speak to. I was trying to get home contents cover for my 84 year old widowed Brother-in-Law who lives in a monitored sheltered apartment. His late wife (my sister) looked after the insurance before she passed away. I could not find a phone number for any of the companies that came up on your list. When I did get to talk to a agent they could not tell me how to apply on line. The website didn't respond, I myself am 72 years of age and not a silver surfer If I couldn't submit an application then, if I had recourse to have a claim ,how would this be handled considering I cannot connect with any human person.

I entered the details on confused.com and when I paid for the policy, found that the assumptions on the policy weren't compatible with my requirements and I had to cancel it.

There was confusion over the cover, meaning part was excluded and I didn't receive the 'kidstart' contribution.

Wouldn’t accept payment card saying error after submitting all the details . Went to other site/ company purchased no problem

The prices displayed on your results page are all calculated and returned by our panel of insurance providers, based on the information you entered on our website. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for other drivers with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. If you would like to query any of your prices, we would recommend calling the insurer directly and they should be able to explain this to you in more detail. I hope this helps.

The experience was coldly efficient. Not a trace of friendliness - and slightly impatient with my questions. I’m an elderly customer, a bit hard of hearing and recently widowed. I don’t expect special treatment, but could have been treated a bit more sensitively.

Unable to get some Competitive quotation shown system error. And we couldn't input the first name with space on system and make the policy not consistent. It's not the good scanner. I will not recommend to my friends.

Been really hard to use: connecting with online insurer and setting up new accounts on various websites in order to access the quotes. Still waiting to buy the insurance I want as I can’t log in….

IH submitted an application for house and contents insurance and got an quote. only to find that I had to go through the whole performance again for the Insurance provider.After struggling with all that the company wanted a much higher premium. What a total waste of time!!

Awful. Spent ages completing and reviewing insurance quote. System would not accept me going to the site of chosen insure despite many attempts and trying diff insurer sites. I redid whole process with compare the market and it worked first time.
