Because they are giving one quote and when it's going into actual website , it's entirely different quote.

I was unable to purchase insurance as my credit card was rejected and I was unable to resolve the problem. There is no problem with my credit card as I have contacted my bank.

gave me a quote that when I went back to sign up for, later on the same day, it had substantially increased Felt very manipulated and the later quotes were a lot higher than another comparison site

Bit pointless really, when you follow the link to the insurers web site the price changes. I've noticed this on Car, Bike and home insurance. You select an excess and the price jumps up for the excess you select. The price shown on Confused.com is always for a different excess and so is pointless.

The questions asked on the proposal did not nearly cover the questions asked by the insurance company leading to a much higher premium

Prices quoted change when you proceed to pay for a policy. Price quoted £102, then it changed to £125. I could have phoned the insurace company, but this defeats the purpose of buying online.

The information that I typed into Cofused.com was not accurately transferred to the insurance provider . When I checked the documents I found quite a few errors and had to ring the company to correct the errors which resulted in them asking for £45 more to set up the policy. I cancelled. So no, can’t recommend Confused.com. Waste of my time and that of insurance provider.

It reminds you weeks in advance of an insurance premium ending that the ‘insurance premium is ending’. Then gives some quotes. You decide on one but cannot proceed until your monthly pension falls. When you return to purchase the insurance premium it has gone up in price by over 20%. No longer a company I would entertain let alone encourage others to visit.

Some quotes are only valid at the time of the quote and others are valid up to 30 days depending on which provider you choose. The quote you provided for car insurance were all worse than the renewal quote from my existing provider. The quote (Admiral) for Home Contents insurance let me click through to Admiral but then i had to input all the same data again, and even then they couldn't complete the provision of insurance so invited me to online chat to complete it. I then spent another hour giving the same info again with long delays on the chat responses only to get to almost the end when they closed the chat because it had gone past 9pm.

The promised offer did not appear after and despite emailing, I was told I didn't qualify for even the coffee as I had not bought the home insurance, but clearly, I did purchase it, or else you wouldn't be asking for a review about confused.com.

Went to accept Admiral quote and after completing documentation and three further phone calls cost went up three times and I answered the same questions three times Eventually gave up and went to MBNA with success through money supermarket

Only 4 options. Difference from cheapest to most expensive so large, they all seemed wrong. Quote was increased as soon as we looked into it.
