couldn't buy the insurance I wanted from yourselves as pages went blank, tried several companies (my computers aren't that old). contacted customer services who were very good and replied promptly giving a ref no. and phone no., but unfortunately the main company I wanted to buy from only had an automated phone line and you could only purchase online, so I couldn't.

Entered all details regarding my property. Got a variety of quotes. Went ahead with Quote me happy. After paying the policy I was able to check the details for my property that I had covered. The details had gone across to the supplier with incorrect information. Resulting in a much higher premium and therefore having to get a refund. So your quotes are false and if I hadn’t double checked the policy, I won’t have been insured!!

I am currently on holiday in Asia and 4 times I attempted to buy insurance via you site and each time refused even though I approved payment with my bank app. You call should yourself cannot do not confused. WASTE OF MY TIME AND ENERGY

There needs to be phone numbers for various insurers rather than robots. Personally I would not purchase from a company that does not have a phone contact number

Messaged through chat today, agent went away and left chat without warning and without resolving the issue. I’m trying to buy a home insurance policy quoted via Confused.com but the link to Vhurchill continues to display an error. This is extremely frustrating

I took out travel insurance and then home insurance but only have had one lot of the advertised rewards. I do not understand why?

I received an email from Confused.com with a ‘renew’ button. I clicked on it thinking I was renewing my policy with the same provider but it turns out it was a new policy and I was subsequently charged and extra £41.00. Luckily I received my renewal offer letter from the provider with the lower quote. I called the company and was advised I was about to pay for two renewals! Happily I raised this very quickly with my provider and they cancelled the more expensive suppose ‘renewal’ policy. Be careful before you click ‘renew’ on this comparison site.

This company provided me with a quote which I used. However, while checking details with the chosen insurer their (Confused.com) page that I had filled out - provided by Con.com with details for the insurer timed out a couple of times: the whole exercise took four hours + to complete- ie for me to be able to check details on the policy, refill a couple or three times on the web page. I probably would not repeat the experience.

As we are a comparison website, we don’t calculate the prices you receive and these are all calculated and returned by our panel of insurance providers, based on the information you entered on our website. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. Initially very happy with the suggestions but then it went so horribly wrong when we tried to purchase one of the policies - firstly we tried Admiral who sent a written quote, when we tried to pay the link didn’t work so we had to phone, we did this and was told the premium would be higher - similar experience with Aviva so gave up and went to Direct Line which we should have done in the first place
