As we are a comparison website, we don’t calculate the prices you receive and these are all calculated and returned by our panel of insurance providers, based on the information you entered on our website. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. Tried for 3 days to renew policy via email finally went on Chat after one hour of chat a new person came on asking the same questions TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME

It is quite clear after using the service is that all the larger insurance companies are doing to be the cheapest quotes is reducing their products on offer, only once you go into the quote do you find this out. This is actually concerning since there may be people buying this product on the assumption they are covered fully since many old people do not fully read their cover...they unfortunately trust insurers to play fair.

Rubbish website! Spent SO long filling in the form as I had to individually list each valuable item, then I only got 4 quotes. Three of those were from the same company who got really bad reviews when I researched them and one from John Lewis which was a gold standard (not asked for!) and ridiculously expensive. Won't use again.

The website is broken and will not allow me to pay for anything. All the payment detail boxes have the same message: the iframe has not configured

Absolutely awful after getting a quote I rang the insurance company to confirm one particular detail only to be told that the quote that was on my screen did not match theirs and that I would have to pay more. The site was confusing and I certainly will not be using them again.

The buildings & contents insurance with the best quote was with LV and they don't insure residents in my area. Wasted a lot of my time with having to eventually call them to find this out.

Need to carefully check what is being promised. Dlving in to the small print finds that the price in large figures is much less than the actual price when you double check the price against what you actually asked for!

I tried to purchase a home insurance as a returning customer Got the quote, tried to proceed online, it's saying that the site not working. I phoned up the provider, and I got informed, that my policy purchase got rejected. I'm seriously surprised as I never ever claimed anything (basically just got the house insurance because it's a requirement from the bank to the mortgage) and I am not bankrupt. The second company said exactly the same, still no idea why, no explanation. If that's the case, no idea why confused. com supplying me with the quote's. Anyway I won't use them anymore.

i paid for my Insurance Policy over the phone It was one of the ones recommended by yourselves. I tried to pay on line but had trouble getting security code sent to my phone in time to do. I was timed out twice hence the reason that I did not have a log in password with confused .com. No phone number to ring . I wanted the £20 Sainsbury voucher can you send it to me please

I am very disappointed with me recent Confused.com experience, with particular regard to home insurance. Having enetred all my details I was presented with a list of quotations from various insurance providers. I selected the quotation of my choice, which was with Hastings. I was transferred to the Hastings Direct site, where to my surprise the quoted cost suddenly increased by £47 from the quoted price given on Confused.com. Not happy with this I eventually managed to get through to Hastings via a contact tel. number and got to speak to a human being, who went on to tell me that the price you see on Confused.com is only a guide only. You will only know the true cost of what you need to pay once you are on the providers website and just about to pay!! This is an absoloute load of b...........s and a complete waste of 2 hours of my life that I won't get back. Thankfully, I did not continue with Confused.com and purchased my home insurance via. Money Super Market. The price I was quoted on the Money Super Market comparison site was the price I paid the provider and there was no inflated rate surprises. My Hasting experince makes a complete mockery of the Confused.com comparison process and I will not be using Confused.com ever again in the future.

We were trying to insure a house that is unoccupied. We were honest in our answers but the offers that came up disappeared once we clicked through to the insurer. It feels like the site should have steered us to specialist insurers or at least indicated that we were unlikely to find anything.

I booked and paid for my holiday insurance with Admiral with confused.com and didn’t receive my policy although they took the money out of my bank. I couldn’t access it on holiday because they didn’t send anything at all to me. Trying to access it on Admiral couldn’t be done because without a policy number it’s impossible. Fortunately I was lucky because nothing went wrong!! I am a breast cancer survivor and have high blood pressure. Never again!!
