Put in no of bedrooms and bathrooms to your site and the proposed insurers had different nos and therefore quotes changed dramatically from your initial quote. Wasted my time and hassle.

Spent ages checking the right deals for my home insurance. Chose one and completed detailed information on required cover, asked for phone contact, submitted details only to get a message "oops, something went wrong. Start again". What a waste of time. Forget it!

There appears to be no way to get the award offered once you leave the website to go to the actual provider

I bought a home insurance policy from confused.com and was offered a free trial of hellofresh box which I activated, used the code accordingly then got my one free box. I was not impressed so cancelled the subscription immediately and going through my bank statements I see hello fresh charged me over £33! I’m furious. So it’s taken me more time to contact hello fresh, get the refund agreed and the chat agent seemed fine but of course I have to wait to see if the refund actually comes through. That’s more inconvenience for me. If I do get the refund then fine but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. When I put my order in and put the code in it said clearly I would be charged £0!

The insurance quote I was offered initially was not available in my circumstances, despite the fact that I had entered the relevant information on Confused.com. I should never have been offered this quote considering the information I had entered meant I wasn’t valid, so I don’t have any confidence in using this service

I have tried for three days to be redirected from your website to one of the insurance companies on your list and NEVER have I been able to go through to pay and each of the insurance companies WILL NOT answer the telephone. I will have to go direct. Total shambles.

Site difficult to use you say click for your quotes we are using information already supplied then you ask us to go through the whole thing again I have gone elsewhere for my home insurance

I do not advise/recommend to friends, hence answer to first question. Generally, Confused.com was good. Rather lengthy list of questions though, which could be reduced as when actual companies are approached they ask other questions anyway. Much the same as other comparison sites.

The freebies they offer if you purchase a product via Confused.com have not been available on the 2 recent occasions I have purchased insurance via their website. So just be aware of this

The quotes are only partial. You would benefit from tailoring the criteria on which the quotes are given, rather than just the price. I was frustrated by having to answer additional questions only to find out at the very end of the process that flood damage was not covered in the quote. In addition, had I not checked the small print, I would have purchased unsuitable insurance. I wonder how many customers will only find this out when it is too late?

It didn't save my home insurance quotes. Why do I need to go through the whole thing again? Every other comparison site will save them to view/edit later. Very frustraiting.
