I am very frustrated that when I make choices for example in contents insurance new of old and with no excess this is ignored similarly other options are ignored no doubt to keep the price down. Please don't treat the public like fools tell use the cost of what we have asked for.

Confused.com advertised a £15 gift voucher if an insurance policy was bought. This proved to be a lie. Advertising under false pretenses

Ended up with policy that was not fit for purpose. This had to be cancelled. Company wanted to blame me and charge me when it was not my fault.

in my case I itemised building work being carried out, but in most cases a generic policy quotation came back. If building work is noted then there should be a separate schedule clause

Having looked for home insurance I got a quotation from LV. The question regarding flooding asked for rives lakes sea ect and stated no. However I phoned LV to clarify that although no claims were made, the garden had flooded. The agent left me on hold and clarified the position with the technical team. She iformed me that cover would be available. Immediately prior to buying the cover I again requested LV check the postal code to see if cover would be provided. The agent thiis time informed me that cover would not be given, and blamed the previous agent for getting the cover quote wrong. I asked which agent had gotten the quote wrong. She simply ended the chat conversation. Buying Insurance from an online source is risky particularly when the application form is ambiguous and the protocols used by the Insurance company are not followed by the staff bearing in mind that if the initial application is wrongly completed any claims will be denied. I will in future go to a broker with a human contact to discuss any ambiguities which may arise.

policy offered via email on confused at 2yr no claims on contents, so cancelled my existing, went to purchase policy as offered on confused only to find at insurer it was 3yr no claims; therefore I was not valid customer. Shoddy or con who knows.
