You should be able to search for new policies from 8 weeks prior to the end of the current policy and if happy to renew. The cost of insurance is far too high. Even you when search 4 weeks prior. In all these years of having home insurance I have never ever claimed despite this my policy is too expensive. I don't feel there is much benefit in trying to use confused.com as it's still too expensive. I feel it's the same with my car insurance. I will have to reconsider using confused.com going forward. Thanks

Quotes are getting ridiculous as all insurance seems to bs stupidly high. Make no claims and it goes from £160 per year to £458

Obtaining quote was straight forward and quotes were competitive, however, I did it through Topcashback.co.uk, who registered my visit, but confused.com has not acknowledged my request for a quote, or my transaction

I had quotes to renew with Sky Protect and followed Confused’s advice to secure the offer only to discover that Sky would only accept renewal at the start of the required renewal date. I phoned Sky to query this, but the manner in which I was spoken to together with the unusual arrangement of renewal made me wary that this would not be a company from which to make a possible future claim; nor would I want to have to speak with such staff. I decided to spend more and went with a different provider.

Somehow the info we believe we input differed from that Hastings worked on. The attractive premium quoted increase by over 10% when this was corrected.

We accepted a quote from Policy Expert through you (Policy Expert) and were about to pay for same when we could get no further as were told we had previously held a policy with them two years ago! And this price did not apply!!!!! Not a good service

Original process was a little too long wonder but I guess they all are. Problem is the amount of follow up emails you get, even after you’ve selected a quote. Got on one the due day even though I’d signed up to one of their quotes. Then they offer a voucher but you have to download their app and go through a ton of questions and wait a few days. Got my voucher and deleted the app. I do not want my phone full of your and others useless apps who are there for your interests and not mine. Beware of all the nonsense

I was going to get my home insurance through confused.com but every time I went to pay I was taken to a spam company for cruises!! Paid the insurance company directly.

Have used comparison sites before and found them helpful, not the case this time. Now you get a two tier service, you get tied into doing everything online when all you want is to consider options. Shall not be using it again, will probably use a broker in future, want a quality insurance where they do the work not where you have to do it to get a cheaper rate and are forced to use apps!

Went pretty well until l tried to purchase insurance, would not accept my postcode (Kept saying please enter correct postcode. ) Unable to obtain help as email was do not reply. So all in all was a complete waste of time!
