Confused.com said they would insure me, but they declined. I live in a flood risk area, but my house is raised up so there's little chance of it flooding. In fact it's never flooded in 30 years. I suppose it's all down to... COMPUTER SAYS NO!

I found that despite me asking for legal advice and home emergency, they gave me quotes without them, so that the price would look good. But having to add them again, puts price too high. Not impressed.

We were offered a voucher if we took our home insurance. We chose one of the recommended insurers, fulfilled all boxes and paid, but no screen appeared for the voucher. We assumed this might come as a separate email but, alas no email has arrived. How do we get this voucher?

The prices returned were astonomical apart from on from Halifax which was very good. However when I went through the basic was not great and the added elements wiped out most of the saving but I continued to payment. Once there they would only accept direct debit payment which I was not prepared to do so the whole thing was a waste of time and I went back to my renewal offer.

AA came out as one of the cheapest like for like quote but when i clicked the link the price shown had doubled. they have obviously found a way around your system to give false quotes

Got a competive quote on confused.com for home insurance with Admiral BUT when contacted Admiral the cost went up by a large amount.

I imagine Confused.com is fine providing your requested building insurance quote is for a conventional property. Each insurer dropped out once "thatch" was mentioned. So, wasted my time.

the search was specifically for flood risk. Only 3 options given, none of whom would cover flood risk but this information was only given at the point of purchase not on the results page

It is a very very frustrating process when you do all the questions then go to insurers website, to do questions all over again, to find there is an endorsement at the very end, what a waste of time and energy, and somewhat an underhanded method
