It was unfortunately a user-error at Cobweb which caused the outage in the first place. However, on reporting the issue, the support team were good at explaining what had happened and advising on what I would need to do once service had been restored. I'm still waiting for an e-mail from Cobweb management explaining what happened, how it happened, and what steps have been taken to prevent a recurrence.

This is the second time this problem has occured and I've been without emails for over a day. Like the last time I then had to have my profile rebuilt in Outlook. After my initial call and being told there was a problem, I then had to call again the following day to find out why I was still unable to login. And then call again a few hours later to find out what was happening. Some feedback to me would have been nice.

Initially thought that the issue was unresolved but it turn out to be an issue with the web browser. It would be good if Cobweb advised that their console is not fully functional using Internet Explorer

Once accessed----It did take a VERY long time-----then it worked. The problem is how complicated you made the whole matter-----your company does make everything so extremely difficult to understand ---with respect, you need to employ some "normal" people, not computer boffins!!!!!!!

Callum managed to resolve the Outlook 2013 cannot remember the password. Can't used Cached Exchange anymore but live moves on happily!

The initial helpdesk response / call routing was poor - asking me to contact the provisioning team which had completed its involvement rather than allocating it to the appropriate technical support team. Once the Provisioning Team had allocated the issue to the right team it was resolved professionally and I was kept informed.
