The hamper was delivered a day late. Contents were nice.

Dear Tia, Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment that the item arrived a day after the date that you had chosen for delivery. If we may explain, as per our terms and conditions, we always aim to deliver our hampers on the preferred date you have selected, but this is not guaranteed. In selecting despatch dates from our warehouse, we factor in certain conditions such as weather, carriers volumes and customs clearance times for international deliveries. Please be aware there are always events beyond our control that may affect the delivery date. Further to this, we aim to despatch goods to arrive as close as possible to that date or a day before, taking account the delivery time, the weather conditions prevailing, whether any perishable items are included in the order etc., and as stated above, unfortunately delivery on the requested date cannot be guaranteed. I think birthday gifts should arrive on birthdays (9th not the 7th) excluding weekends. This one arrived two days before at 8.12 am on a Saturday morning. Especially annoying for my parents to be woken up and Saturday was even excluded from the list of possible delivery days!

Hello Mark, Thank you for raising your query. I am sorry that delivery was made on the Saturday prior to your preferred delivery date. If I may explain, in order to meet Monday delivery we are required to despatch items on the Friday before. These are then collected and processed by the couriers and depending on how busy a particular route is, the couriers may deliver on the Saturday prior to the Monday. Further to this, please also be aware that the delivery date chosen by our customers is a preferred delivery date and is not guaranteed. We were advised by email that the hamper was delivered on Friday 23. It was not. The recipients have advised me that it was delivered on Saturday night the 24 January. Do you have an explanation for this.

Hi Diane, Thank you for your feedback. We have looked into this matter and checked the tracking information that we received from the courier. They have stated that delivery was made on the 23rd January at 13:32, we can only apologise that this was actually delivered on the Saturday and we will raise this with the courier to ensure that the information we receive from them is up to date and correct for our customer's. They did not include sender information, so the recipient had no idea it was from me. It was very awkward - I didn't think they had received it and they didn't know who to thank. I finally reached out to ask and that's when I learned the sender information was not with the hamper. I was trying to build rapport with a business associate - that doesn't work if they don't know who the gift is from.

Hello Roberta, Thank you for your review. I have checked your order and I can confirm that there was a gift message included. The gift message appears on the label on the packaging. At the bottom of the label is says 'Lift here for gift message' it is then on the reverse side of this that the message appears. Website was easy to use, however requested delivery on Jan 12th and hamper was delivered on Jan. 10th. My sister was travelling and when she arrived home package was on doorstep soaking wet from heavy downpours. Dissappointed was hoping to use site again as all my family live in England.

Hi Yoram, We do apologise that your order was delivered early. We did dispatch this on Friday for Monday delivery but on occasion our Courier Companies do try to upgrade Monday deliveries to a Saturday. My order was No: 334778 The delivery of this order was a complete and utter mess up. My last email on the issue was sent on the 20th Dec 2014 and no reply was received. An apology for this would have been welcome. The hamper did arrive finally, but my daughter (the recipient in Manchester) and myself were very stressed trying to sort something out, particularly when correspondence was not answered. In fact I am juggling between "Poor" and "Very Poor".

During Christmas we get inundated with delivery queries and we always try our best to resolve courier related problems quickly and efficiently, however this year was especially difficult with one courier company unable to cope with demand and one going into administration it proved a testing time for everyone. We are sorry if this service did not live up to your satisfaction, we always try our best and most of the time we get it right, however sometimes there are factors beyond our control. Very unusually for Hampers, I encountered problems this year with their deliveries (..but NOT their products ). One item (..out of four ) was mis-labelled and delivered to the wrong address. To their credit Hampers immediately (..and with no quibbles ) arranged for a replacement hamper to be delivered correctly. This duly arrived in time for Christmas, though the carrier did not make contact or require a confirmatory signature. I found the parcel on my doorstep late in the day. Then, a second of my hampers was delivered to another recipient four days later than requested. Products excellent as always, but suggest your carrier ( Southampton area ) needs to vastly improve.

The hamper I ordered for delivery on Monday 1st. December was finally delivered at 2.30pm on Thursday 4th December after a number of hiccups. These included the original hamper (so I was told) being damaged and therefore returned to the Depot. I was disappointed that I wasn't informed of the delivery progress or non delivery progress more correctly. My main disappointed arises from the fact that I have dealt with Clearwater Hampers for a number of years andthis is the first glitch I have experienced. I have received apologies from the Company and the hamper arrived in time, just, to be utilised by the intended recipeints who were arriving from abroad. I still intend to use the Company again in the future.

Having sent a hamper as a thanksgiving gift I was disappointed with the overall quality and display . When contacted the company offered a refund if it was returned which was not possible . Therefore nothing else was suggested. Very poor customer service

Have never had trouble before but this time was very stressful as order was for a special occasion but recipient was not home and no phone call was made also said carded on the tracker but no card received by recipient, this happened three times. We advised a phone number when order was placed and would have expected someone to have phoned the recipient. Have been advised of a refund but have also advised the package has been delivered, think it should say it was cancelled.

Sorry, don´t have much time to do this but ordering on-line and tracking delivery from this company was an irritating experience. I know my IT skills are not great but I have no problems ordering from the big companies eg M&S, John Lewis, Fortnums - easy and quick to use. I gave up with Hamper.com and phoned them to place my two orders. Telephone service was efficient but as I was phoning from my home in Mallorca, it was costly. Subsequent tracking of the delivery the following day was pathetic in comparison with other retailers. I could not find any further information than that my gifts had been loaded. As they were both tea tray presents and the idea was that my friends would receive them in time for tea (!) and had been assured when ordering that deliveries would likely be in the morning, at about 5.30pm on the delivery date, I had to phone again to find out what was happening. The response was good in that they phoned me back in Mallorca to tell me one had been delivered but there was no more news about the second gift. My sister subsequently let me know that the tea tray gift (with fresh scones and cream) arrived as they were having supper in the evening. Not quite the surprise I had intended. The hampers on offer on their site are interesting and creative. However, trying to order and get an efficient delivery was a problem for me so I shall not be using the company again. Linda Forsyth

My package was delivered to the neighbour 2 days ago, on the requested day which was the 4th August. My mums birthday, no card was issued to my mums house to say it had been delivered and she was unaware. The neighbour also did not notify that it had been delivered. We have only today discovered what has happened, but is now very late and I have missed my mums birthday by 2 days! I am arranging this from Australia, and in future will flind an alternative gift site, as this is unsatisfactory.

I purchased the Cream Tea hamper, which cost me £36.52p. The recipient informed me that the scones were OK, but the strawberries were nearly all inedible- they looked like they had been on a hot van for days. The cream was UHT in a jar- not fresh. All in all a great disappointment and certainly not worth the money. I have complained directly by email but haven't had a reply so far.
