Delivery man left on doorstep and faked the recipients signature to say they had received the hamper/parcel. The recipient found the hamper (in the rain) on the front door step when they arrived home. Product good, delivery methods rubbish. Item could have easily been stolen and damaged by the rain.

Hi Patti, We are so sorry to learn out couriers let us down on this occasion, while we do have a policy with them to leave the delivery somewhere safe if the recipient is not in, we would not expect this to be just left on the door step. Very pleased with the quality of the hamper itself. A little upset with the courier as they delivered late in the afternoon which ruined the point of a "Celebration Breakfast" hamper. Also the courier did not text to say that they had attempted delivery but no one was home until their premises had closed for the evening. This meant that not only was a whole day wasted waiting in but then when we finally stopped waiting and left the house, we were unable to pick up the package until the next day. This will influence whether or not I purchase from Hampers.com again.

Hi Dayner, Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you were happy with the hamper itself but disappointed with the courier service. Also a little confused by your comments, as the tracking shows this as delivered & signed for at 11.51am on the day requested. Unfortunately we do not offer a timed delivery service, only next day, & we do specify on our website that delivery is not guaranteed before breakfast & advise ordering for delivery the day before if this is required for a special occasion. The hamper, which was a 50th birthday present for my sister-in-law arrived 3 days late!! Hugely disappointing and left us somewhat embarrassed. I’m glad to say that she was very happy with quality of the hamper itself when it finally arrived. However, we won’t be using Hamper.com again given their unreliability to deliver the goods on time.

Dear Diane, We are very sorry that the hamper did not arrive on the date requested. This was due to the destination of the recipient on an island off Scotland. Your order was placed on the 29th which was a Saturday & due to the bank holiday left us on the 1st, Tuesday. This was sent to Scotland & from there goes to the local delivering courier that then have ferry across to the islands. We do allow 2-3 days for any delivery to the Scottish Highlands & Islands. We are very pleased to hear that your Sister-in-Law was happy with the hamper you chose for her & hope she was aware that the delay was due to delivery times in that area. I was disappointed with the item received as well as the response from hamper.com when I contacted them. Half of the items in the hamper that I sent were substituted for other items. This significantly changed the hamper as it was a "greetings from the USA birthday" hamper for my fiance who is in the England. I contacted customer service and was simply told that it was a stock issue..... very very disappointed with the lack of concern and notice of these substitutions.

I was disappointed as there was no message with the hamper ! My brother liked the hamper and he said it was lovely but did not know who it was from as there was no message with the hamper. I did write a message with the order hoping to surprise him on his 50 th birthday from our entire familie who live in the US and Australia. A big shame and a disappointment from my side as I hoped it would be a perfect surprise.

We did send one, it is in fact printed on the underneath of the delivery label, under the message 'Lift Here For Gift Message.' I was happy to give you glowing feedback until I saw that you had replaced Caramel Monion Sauce with dried tea leaves. Why? Why tea leaves? I paid almost 7 GBP for the sauce and you replace it with cheap tea leaves. Please give me an explanation?

I ordered the hamper 01/07 for delivery 03/07 for my sisters birthday 04/07. The hamper didn't arrive until 06/07 and didn't include my greeting/message so she didn't know who it was from.

Hi Yvette, Thank you for your review. We can confirm that the parcel did leave us on the 2nd July on a next day delivery service. We have tracked your consignment and can see that it was held up by the Courier company, so we do apologise about that. We will pop a box of chocolates in the post to your sister as an apology for the delay to her Birthday present. I requested for a hamper to be delivered for a friends birthday for 6/7/2015 and was very disappointed when i received an email saying it had been delivered on 4/7/2015 which was not her birthday

Hi Melanie, Thank you for your review. We do apologise that you were unhappy that the parcel arrived early. Due to the very warm weather we have been experiencing, we made the decision on Friday to upgrade all chocolate hampers due for delivery on Monday to our special Saturday delivery service at our cost. We would rather the recipient received the hamper in as fresh state as possible and not left in the couriers warm warehouse all weekend. We are sorry though if this inconvenienced you in any way. the hamper was delivered uncovered, with no card enclosed to tell the recipient who it came from, the biscuits were Ok but there was no way of knowing if they were all there.

Hi Leslie, Thank you for your review. We have checked your order and can see that you chose an 'open lined bamboo basket' to put your items in. This is an open basket and does not have a lid to it, so it would not have been covered, however it would have been protected within the box. Our gift message is currently printed underneath the address label on the outer packaging of the consignment, marked 'lift here for gift message.' Although my daughter in law was very happy with her cream tea hamper I was not so with the delivery service. Had specifically asked for a Saturday delivery so someone would be at home and it turned up the following Wednesday. I know your site states you cannot always deliver on time, but five days late! This could be the fault of the courier - and if that is Yodel I am not surprised as have had problems with them before - but I also requested a phone call from you on the Tuesday to explain the non-delivery and that never came. It is a pity your delivery service does not match your product which I believe to be very good.

We do have a substitution clause which states that we may have to include substitute items due to stock levels occasionally, but will always substitute with, wherever possible, similar items of at least equal value and size when this happens. We really do apologise if you were dissatisfied with the substituted item. Dear Tia, Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment that the item arrived a day after the date that you had chosen for delivery. If we may explain, as per our terms and conditions, we always aim to deliver our hampers on the preferred date you have selected, but this is not guaranteed. In selecting despatch dates from our warehouse, we factor in certain conditions such as weather, carriers volumes and customs clearance times for international deliveries. Please be aware there are always events beyond our control that may affect the delivery date. Further to this, we aim to despatch goods to arrive as close as possible to that date or a day before, taking account the delivery time, the weather conditions prevailing, whether any perishable items are included in the order etc., and as stated above, unfortunately delivery on the requested date cannot be guaranteed. I think birthday gifts should arrive on birthdays (9th not the 7th) excluding weekends. This one arrived two days before at 8.12 am on a Saturday morning. Especially annoying for my parents to be woken up and Saturday was even excluded from the list of possible delivery days!

Hello Mark, Thank you for raising your query. I am sorry that delivery was made on the Saturday prior to your preferred delivery date. If I may explain, in order to meet Monday delivery we are required to despatch items on the Friday before. These are then collected and processed by the couriers and depending on how busy a particular route is, the couriers may deliver on the Saturday prior to the Monday. Further to this, please also be aware that the delivery date chosen by our customers is a preferred delivery date and is not guaranteed. We were advised by email that the hamper was delivered on Friday 23. It was not. The recipients have advised me that it was delivered on Saturday night the 24 January. Do you have an explanation for this.

They have stated that delivery was made on the 23rd January at 13:32, we can only apologise that this was actually delivered on the Saturday and we will raise this with the courier to ensure that the information we receive from them is up to date and correct for our customer's. They did not include sender information, so the recipient had no idea it was from me. It was very awkward - I didn't think they had received it and they didn't know who to thank. I finally reached out to ask and that's when I learned the sender information was not with the hamper. I was trying to build rapport with a business associate - that doesn't work if they don't know who the gift is from.

At the bottom of the label is says 'Lift here for gift message' it is then on the reverse side of this that the message appears. Website was easy to use, however requested delivery on Jan 12th and hamper was delivered on Jan. 10th. My sister was travelling and when she arrived home package was on doorstep soaking wet from heavy downpours. Dissappointed was hoping to use site again as all my family live in England.

We did dispatch this on Friday for Monday delivery but on occasion our Courier Companies do try to upgrade Monday deliveries to a Saturday. My order was No: 334778 The delivery of this order was a complete and utter mess up. My last email on the issue was sent on the 20th Dec 2014 and no reply was received. An apology for this would have been welcome. The hamper did arrive finally, but my daughter (the recipient in Manchester) and myself were very stressed trying to sort something out, particularly when correspondence was not answered. In fact I am juggling between "Poor" and "Very Poor".

Very unusually for Hampers, I encountered problems this year with their deliveries (..but NOT their products ). One item (..out of four ) was mis-labelled and delivered to the wrong address. To their credit Hampers immediately (..and with no quibbles ) arranged for a replacement hamper to be delivered correctly. This duly arrived in time for Christmas, though the carrier did not make contact or require a confirmatory signature. I found the parcel on my doorstep late in the day. Then, a second of my hampers was delivered to another recipient four days later than requested. Products excellent as always, but suggest your carrier ( Southampton area ) needs to vastly improve.

The hamper I ordered for delivery on Monday 1st. December was finally delivered at 2.30pm on Thursday 4th December after a number of hiccups. These included the original hamper (so I was told) being damaged and therefore returned to the Depot. I was disappointed that I wasn't informed of the delivery progress or non delivery progress more correctly. My main disappointed arises from the fact that I have dealt with Clearwater Hampers for a number of years andthis is the first glitch I have experienced. I have received apologies from the Company and the hamper arrived in time, just, to be utilised by the intended recipeints who were arriving from abroad. I still intend to use the Company again in the future.

Having sent a hamper as a thanksgiving gift I was disappointed with the overall quality and display . When contacted the company offered a refund if it was returned which was not possible . Therefore nothing else was suggested. Very poor customer service
