I will start with a positive, as the hamper arrived on time beautifully packaged. I paid £28 for the Alcohol Free Hamper For Him as a fathers day gift to my dad, he loves cheese and biscuits and pate and bits and pieces like that. I received the thank you phone call yesterday, and as we chatted he said I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for my present! I do consider £28 a decent amount of money to spend!! He continued that he had received, three jars, a packet of nuts and some crackers, probably no more that £10's worth if that! I am extremely disappointed, and as requested by the company before writing a review I contacted them. Got back a sorry and hope he wasn't too disappointed!! Well he was, and I was even more so!! Save your money use another company, I will not be wasting another penny of mine!

Very disappointed that the hamper arrived a day late. I'd researched several hamper companies and this was the only one I found that could deliver on the day I needed, as it was an important birthday gift. You shouldn't promise something you can't deliver!

Dear Suzanne, We are very sorry that the hamper was not delivered on the day you requested. We do specify this is a preferred date & not guaranteed. Unfortunately the order was not received until after the 2pm cut off on the Friday. Which meant this was despatched on the Monday & delivered on the Tuesday. i ordered the retro sweet hamper as a gift for somebody, when it arrived the contents could of been bought for probably around the £5 mark, so basically it was a very expensive basket of straw...wont be ordering this again..a big waste of £30

We do show all the products on our website that are included in the hampers in order for people to see exactly what they are getting & these are also listed in the contents. Photos of products were very misleading - was disappoint with how much I paid for what actually arrived. Not worth it.

The hamper is great, but no card arrived with the hamper which took away what the hamper was for. The hamper was completely emptied out and no card was to be seen. Overall happy with the hamper but very disappointed no card was in with the hamper.

The hamper was enjoyed by friend for her 50th once it arrived, however it did not arrive for her 50th. I got an email on the day to say it was damaged in transit and could not be delivered on the day I requested. When I asked for some compensation they said no as their delivery dates are not guaranteed. I do not feel that was made clear on the website when I selected my preferred delivery date. I was obviously disappointed with the delivery not arriving on the date I selected and then with the customer service response after. I would not order from this company again.

We do endeavor to fulfill the requested dates, but as in this instance, cannot guarantee this in case of any incidents etc. We do offer replacement hampers to be sent asap if there are any damages, or we refund in full. The delivery was late for two days. Your company should inform me if the hamper cannot be delivered to school on Saturday. There are plenty of time for your company to do so as I ordered the hamper 5 days before the delivered date.

Hi Maggie, Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry that you were not informed that the couriers do not deliver to schools on a Saturday. This is because they are assumed closed. We do specify in our T&C's that deliveries will not be attempted to business, school or hospital addresses on Saturdays. The hamper was therefore delivered on the next working day which was Monday. The courier left an unintelligible note for the recipient. The hamper was then placed in the bottom of an empty refuse container from which the recipient had great difficulty in extracting the hamper. She was, however, delighted with the contents.

I've used Hamper.com for years, but I'm perplexed by recent experience. I placed an gift order online, paid through paypal, got an email receipt from Hamper.com. But the order was "accepted" but never processed, never delivered. And Hamper.com has failed to respond to three email inquiries to their customer service line. Once they sent me an email asking for a review on this website, I sent them another email asking if they meant it and giving them another chance to rectify the situation, or even respond. Nothing. That's how you lose long-time customers, chaps. I could easily overlook a mistake, but a mistake plus failure to respond at all sends me to one of your many competitors. Adios.

The recipient was disappointed with her gift. She reported that it had very little in it and the portion sizes were very small. I cannot comment as I have not seen it myself.

It took a while for me to find a company that would take US dollars/credit card but deliver to a UK address. Based on reviews, I was excited about sending my sibling a Christmas hamper. The pros: they offer a lot of great hamper options online from very traditional to fun and eccentric. They said they would deliver before a date (in this case Christmas) and was able to do so. Their prices are reasonable compared to competitors. The cons: They delivered the package to another address (I'm assuming they wanted someone present) and didn't leave a note to the recipient that they should check with their neighbor. Also, in contacting them (after it showed delivered and the recipient checked with surrounding neighbors and was unable to find it), they are slow to respond (even taking into account the time zone differences) and short in their responses "did they check with the neighbors?" I ordered from the United States for a UK delivery and was hoping for an easy transaction. What resulted instead was a few emails to them (some unanswered) and then a search and rescue effort while contacting any and all neighbors from the recipient in the area. It was not a great transaction as a buyer or experience from the recipient. Perhaps they're better to UK clients - but for all others ordering and hoping for ease, this is not the company that deserves your business.

I ordered 5 hampers for Christmas online from Australia for my parents in the UK. 4 out of the 5 hampers were delivered on the expected delivery date on Saturday 19th December and I received 4 emails informing me of the delivery. I have emailed customer services about the missing hamper (for which I was billed at checkout) however have yet to receive a reply. My parents have also emailed re the missing hamper, neither have they received a reply yet. I appreciate this is a very busy time of the year however am disappointed that not only was the delivery incorrect but that I have not even received an acknowledgement yet to my email Never mind an apology and a promise that they would look into it and complete delivery of my order. This is my first time using this company and I am left overall disappointed and not impressed. I will go back to M&S or John Lewis next year.

I personally have not been able to judge the quality of the contents of the many hampers I've purchased from Clearwater Hampers as I live in the USA and have the hampers sent to friends and relatives in the UK. I do have. however, one serious complaint: rarely, if ever, the recipients can find the messages I've written to them that should accompany the hamper. If, as claimed by Clearwater Hampers, the messages are included, why can the recipients not find them? Unless the company is able to devise another way of including messages (which vitally includes the name of the sender), I shall not use them again. (B. Bowen)

received notification form Hampers to say 1 of 2 ordered had been delivered the 1 to my brother. He phoned last night, he had received 'a lovely hamper' but no idea from who, was it from me? No card enclosed, I have checked I definitely added a message to go with hamper. Hamper 2 to my cousin is apparently sill in limbo although should have also been delivered by last Friday. SO even though hamper 1 'was lovely' service disappointing from my point of view, the customer

First, and probably the last time with this company. Delivered a day before requested. No way of tracking the order. Two days after delivery before notification of delivery. Loyalty points shown on invoice - but not on my account. More all round satisfaction with other suppliers in past years.

The charge for the packaging us not acceptable. How can I give this as a gift with all the labels for carriage on. I have had to buy some ribbon a basket and some cellophane to make it look presentable. The outside packagaging should be for delivery only and internally there should be a special presentation box so it can be given as a gift. Would not buy from you again as I feel that it is not good value.

Thank you for your feedback Helen, we do take each & every comment on board. We do offer a trio of packaging options in the Create your Own section in an attempt to cater for all tastes and budgets. Selecting the postal carton of course does mean that more of your budget goes into the items the recipient are going to enjoy. The packaging fee does include a handling charge as CYOs are a little more work for the warehouse to complete. We will however look into the label issue and see if we are able to reach a better solution. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. From all at hamper.com

I have used Hamper.com for the past five years and normally purchase around ten hampers. The quality of these hampers and delivery service are very good indeed. However, this year I had a number of issues with their website. What should have normally taken 15 minutes ended up taking 3 hours, and included 3 phone calls to the company. I even had to change the browser I was using. I will give them one more chance next year but hamper.com please take note and sort your website ordering process. Bryan, London

Very disappointed in response to my enquiries as to the delay in my parcel being delivered. Ordered it 3 weeks prior to delivery and as it was a birthday gift specified day to be delivered. It was delivered late and response was they could not find address. I gave name of company and address and mobile number on original order form and yet this was not noted. Of course response was a "do not really care" attitude and so will not use them again and even more regrettably I had recommended the company to friends.

We are sorry to learn of your poor experience Caroline. Sadly we do not ever express a guaranteed delivery date, especially in December due to the high volumes of freight needing to be delivered. We do of course always try to adhere to your preferred delivery date but sadly we are at the mercy of our couriers. I'm sure our customer service team did their best to assist where possible. Placing the order and receiving the delivery was simple but was very disappointed with the quality of the hamper. The box I paid for to put the items in can not be used as the postage labels were stuck on it and when removed marked the box, a cost saving way for them to send the items . The products were so tiny even though weights and sizes are given the pictures make them look much bigger and are deceiving Will not be using again , I now have to add items to the hamper to make it look ok

We are sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your 'create your own' hamper. Using the postal carton as the box is a personal choice by the customer, this option is not a cost-cutting exercise for us, but it does allow our customers to spend a little less on packaging and a little more on contents. As you have pointed out we do ensure to clearly state the weights and sizes of each product in an attempt to not give our customers any misapprehensions of what they will receive.
