I arranged for delivey on a specific date for a reason, unfortunatley it was not made until two days later and only after I had chased for an update. (I arranged for Saturday and wasn't delivered until Monday). Disapointing, and I won't be using them again.

Dear Paul, We are very sorry the hamper was not delivered on Saturday as requested. This was due to a technical issue with the data transfer to our couriers. Unfortunately, we were not aware of this until Monday when you called to check on the delivery. We do our best to meet the required delivery dates, but these are not guaranteed, as occasionally issues do arise with the couriers that are beyond our control. Nice hamper and friendly customer service but my hamper was supposed to be delivered on Saturday and was delivered on Monday instead which kind of spoilt the surprise element about it! I wouldn't use this service again

I ordered 2 hampers to different addresses, one was not delivered. It was arraigned for a Saturday so no customer service available. Finally delivered 3 days after originally booked.

Delivery was upgraded to an AM service for when the hamper arrived at the delivering depot, & delivered successfully that morning. I wanted the hamper to arrive form my daughter's birthday on Oct 3rd. It was supposed to be a surprise but because the hamper never actually arrived in the day I had to ask her to look out for it at the Uni as I was afraid something had gone wrong. Couldn't see anything on the internet advising of delays. Called the office from Australia the next day but the staff member wasn't in any way apologetic - just said the truck broke down and that it would be delivered that morning. I expressed my disappointment and all she could say was - well 40 other hampers were also late!! Did that make me feel any better!! I don't think so. Not even a "sorry". Really disappointed.

Dear Bronagh, We are very sorry to hear that you were not given an apology for the late delivery of the hamper. This is not how we operate in customer service. Unfortunately, there was a vehicle breakdown which resulted in the hampers missing the trunk to forward them to the delivering depots. These were then sent on the next available trunker & delivered on the 4th. We apologise you were not informed, we were only made aware when the couriers advised us after the weekend. These were upgraded to AM deliveries & successfully delivered at 9.08am. Once again we apologise for any inconvenience & disappointment cause. kind regards, Hamper.com

I will be ema8iling you to find out why my order 100050203 turned up as a food hamper when I had ordered a bunch of flowers (lillies plus another white flower). I am very disappointed because my pregnant daughter in law is unable to eat pate etc so I would not have even considered this a possibility. I will search for a copy of my order at this end to try and work out what went wrong with the order.

Dear Andrew, We are very sorry the hamper did not arrive on the day requested. We can confirm that this was delayed in transit with the courier after we despatched this on Friday for anticipated delivery Saturday. The hamper arrived at the delivering depot on Sunday & was then successfully delivered on Monday. Apologies that you were not informed of this, as we were not made aware of the issue. We do specify that the date selected is a preferred date, as on occasion there can be delays with the couriers that are beyond our control, as in this case. Didn't look worth it at all to be honest. A standard bottle of wine and some standard cheese and pate. Could have made my own for half the cost.

I will start with a positive, as the hamper arrived on time beautifully packaged. I paid £28 for the Alcohol Free Hamper For Him as a fathers day gift to my dad, he loves cheese and biscuits and pate and bits and pieces like that. I received the thank you phone call yesterday, and as we chatted he said I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for my present! I do consider £28 a decent amount of money to spend!! He continued that he had received, three jars, a packet of nuts and some crackers, probably no more that £10's worth if that! I am extremely disappointed, and as requested by the company before writing a review I contacted them. Got back a sorry and hope he wasn't too disappointed!! Well he was, and I was even more so!! Save your money use another company, I will not be wasting another penny of mine!

Very disappointed that the hamper arrived a day late. I'd researched several hamper companies and this was the only one I found that could deliver on the day I needed, as it was an important birthday gift. You shouldn't promise something you can't deliver!

Unfortunately the order was not received until after the 2pm cut off on the Friday. Which meant this was despatched on the Monday & delivered on the Tuesday. i ordered the retro sweet hamper as a gift for somebody, when it arrived the contents could of been bought for probably around the £5 mark, so basically it was a very expensive basket of straw...wont be ordering this again..a big waste of £30

The hamper is great, but no card arrived with the hamper which took away what the hamper was for. The hamper was completely emptied out and no card was to be seen. Overall happy with the hamper but very disappointed no card was in with the hamper.

The hamper was enjoyed by friend for her 50th once it arrived, however it did not arrive for her 50th. I got an email on the day to say it was damaged in transit and could not be delivered on the day I requested. When I asked for some compensation they said no as their delivery dates are not guaranteed. I do not feel that was made clear on the website when I selected my preferred delivery date. I was obviously disappointed with the delivery not arriving on the date I selected and then with the customer service response after. I would not order from this company again.

We do endeavor to fulfill the requested dates, but as in this instance, cannot guarantee this in case of any incidents etc. We do offer replacement hampers to be sent asap if there are any damages, or we refund in full. The delivery was late for two days. Your company should inform me if the hamper cannot be delivered to school on Saturday. There are plenty of time for your company to do so as I ordered the hamper 5 days before the delivered date.

Hi Maggie, Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry that you were not informed that the couriers do not deliver to schools on a Saturday. This is because they are assumed closed. We do specify in our T&C's that deliveries will not be attempted to business, school or hospital addresses on Saturdays. The hamper was therefore delivered on the next working day which was Monday. The courier left an unintelligible note for the recipient. The hamper was then placed in the bottom of an empty refuse container from which the recipient had great difficulty in extracting the hamper. She was, however, delighted with the contents.

This hampers I ordered were specifically for Christmas. Delivery requested 23 December. Sadly these were delivered 29 Dec. despite information prior to that to say they were complete. When I have complained I've been told the courier tried to deliver 23 and 24 but couldnt find address. As I didn't but my 90 year old father in laws telephone number on the deliver it appears it's my fault from the email I've had back. I gave the full address and postcode and just by popping this into a smart phone it clearly pin points the exact location of the address. I had expected as a gesture they might have offered a refund on at least the smallest hamper I ordered the Stilton on. But as I say the response from customer services apologies but says as they couldn't find the address and I did provide a telephone number tough. Wondering why the courier didn't ring me or hamper.com asking to contact me for more information after the first failed attempt on 23rd as I did provide my telephone number. Will not be using them again or recommending them to any friends or family

I've used Hamper.com for years, but I'm perplexed by recent experience. I placed an gift order online, paid through paypal, got an email receipt from Hamper.com. But the order was "accepted" but never processed, never delivered. And Hamper.com has failed to respond to three email inquiries to their customer service line. Once they sent me an email asking for a review on this website, I sent them another email asking if they meant it and giving them another chance to rectify the situation, or even respond. Nothing. That's how you lose long-time customers, chaps. I could easily overlook a mistake, but a mistake plus failure to respond at all sends me to one of your many competitors. Adios.

The recipient was disappointed with her gift. She reported that it had very little in it and the portion sizes were very small. I cannot comment as I have not seen it myself.

It took a while for me to find a company that would take US dollars/credit card but deliver to a UK address. Based on reviews, I was excited about sending my sibling a Christmas hamper. The pros: they offer a lot of great hamper options online from very traditional to fun and eccentric. They said they would deliver before a date (in this case Christmas) and was able to do so. Their prices are reasonable compared to competitors. The cons: They delivered the package to another address (I'm assuming they wanted someone present) and didn't leave a note to the recipient that they should check with their neighbor. Also, in contacting them (after it showed delivered and the recipient checked with surrounding neighbors and was unable to find it), they are slow to respond (even taking into account the time zone differences) and short in their responses "did they check with the neighbors?" I ordered from the United States for a UK delivery and was hoping for an easy transaction. What resulted instead was a few emails to them (some unanswered) and then a search and rescue effort while contacting any and all neighbors from the recipient in the area. It was not a great transaction as a buyer or experience from the recipient. Perhaps they're better to UK clients - but for all others ordering and hoping for ease, this is not the company that deserves your business.
