“This the first time that I have contacted City Insurance and I was impressed by the service I received by your employee with the name of Kisa. She was extremely polite and helpful. She was also knowledgeable about motor insurance. Lisa took time out to explain in detail the policy and the benefits within. I would state that I would describe her as a great ambassador of your company.”

“This company gets a one start only because I cannot give zero stars. I took out a car policy 4 days ago but decided to cancel only to be told there is a £50 cancellation fee, even within the cooling off period no other company i know off does this, how completely ridiculous. should have known better than to go with a company I never heard of before.”

Dear Mr, Keenan, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear of your displeasure on this occasion. I note from our records, you opted to purchase this policy online to which you answer all questions via an aggregator. Prior to purchase, you are presented with the terms of business to read and accept, which does explain that a £50 charge is applicable should you wish to cancel the policy. When you spoke with our team, I understand the reason for cancellation is due to taking another alternative quotation which was cheaper, this being 4 days later from our purchase. You will find it common place, for insurers and brokers alike who trade via aggregators to have a cancellation charge due to the number of costs incurred as a result of the acquisition of that piece of business. The charges within the cooling off period, are reduced from our normal terms and only pay 'some' of those acquisition costs. Again, I am sorry to hear of your displeasure and would be happy to look at our policy again if you would be open to having another conversation, I can be contacted on 01962 844848. “I received great service obtaining car insurance as an expat, having been out of the country for 27 years. Mark Lawday was extremely diligent, responsive and professional in all his dealings with me. Will very happily use Mark and City Insurance again.”
