Hi Elizabeth, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As a company, we use newspaper as our default packing material as it is friendlier to the environment as well as being as good as plastic based packing materials such as bubble wrap. However, we will reuse any packing materials we receive into the warehouse, including bubble wrap, rather than discard them in an effort to maximise their life before they are eventually thrown away. We hope this explanation goes someway to explain the reasons we, on occasion, use non environmentally friendly material.

Hi, thank you for your review and we are glad your order arrived safely. I am sorry you were disappointed with the bubble wrap we used to pack your order. The only time we use plastic packaging is when it passes through our warehouse from deliveries we receive. We feel it is better to reuse the materials to give it an extend use rather than throwing it away but we never purchase plastic packaging materials and typically use recycled newspapers. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review and we hope this explains why, on occasion we use plastic packaging.

“I. Bought only one item that was available to add to my tea set. I’m pleased to say I hope to replace 3 “Summer Chintz” fruit dishes when they become available, as The China Village has informed me.
