“Although there was no photo on the site the item was described as a gravy jug whereas we would describe it as a gravy boat - which we already had. Shows that probably we should always ensure we have sight of the item before purchasing. We could not fault the service from ordering. But still looking for the actual gravy jug.”

“I had various broken plates and dishes from my Denby Harvest dinner service, after looking at various websites which were not very good, I found The China Village. Very clear site where I was able to order all the missing crockery ( apart from one piece which they are trying to track down ). All arrived very promptly. Very pleased !”

“I was concerned that I was not going to receive my china order in time, despite paying the additional fee for courier delivery. I ordered the china on 01/10 was surprise it took until 06/10 to arrive. I was pleased with the careful packaging of the pieces, but a little perturbed by the mouse droppings amongs the newspaper wrappings. I suggest you check out your store room for ‘visitors’!”

“Dear Matt - very much hope all went well on Friday but unfortunately we still await delivery. Difficult to understand as the courier has all the contact details. We are at home on Monday morning but out in the afternoon - hopefully the plates will not arrive only to be taken away again as they can't get a signature! Best wishes Brian”

Hi Hilary, thank you for your feedback. All of our items are assessed for their condition by ourselves before being listed on our site. The condition classifications we have will have a range within them and so it may be you received 2 top end 'excellent' bowls and as well as a further 'excellent' bowl that shows more signs of use, however all items marked as excellent should still meet our quality controls. “China arrived well packed & as described. Ordered on Thursday & requested an urgent delivery as I had a tea party for 30 ladies on the following Tuesday. I was informed that the items could not be dispatched until the following Monday. China arrived on Wednesday! Still at least they did let me know so I was able to borrow some from friends. I would recommend this company, but allow time for delivery!”
