I ordered two pairs in the same style as buying shoes online is tricky as sizes vary. I was disappointed that return postage for the unsuitable pair was at my own cost, in this case £8.95. I would hesitate to order again for this reason.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see that you were charged so much to return your shoes. You can return items to us using second class post which is around £2.85, and pop to your local post office, you can add tracking for about 80p more. You can also use any courier of your choice, or use the link on our website for Collect + which allows up to 10 kilo in weight to be returned for the low cost of £4.49. Good service. However dispatch and delivery very slow compared to other places. Also did not receive an email to say my ordered was ready for collection in store. Will still use again though as good deal on my items so worth the extra wait.

You ordered on the evening of the 18th and we dispatched on the 20th, so should have been with you quite quickly. The initial purchase from here was not great. I got sent a pair of shoes that had obvious signs of being on display. Totally different colours and one had signs of wear. I contacted customer service straight away and they couldn’t have done more. So polite, calm and professional, and I got a new pair the next day. Both people I spoke to on different occasions, knew the problem so it is obvious the system used is updated and passed on to the correct people efficiently. Best customer service I have ever been in contact with. Thank you.

I am so disappointed in them I wanted a size larger that I tried on the shop . When they arrived although a size larger they still are no bigger . Plus had marks on one and on the sole . I have now got to make a journey to Shrewsbury to return them . Very disappointed don’t think I will bother again 😩

These look great and at first try seemed comfortable but the on wearing they rub a little am hoping this will ease as the leather softens

The trainers were perfect but the delivery was not as paid for. I paid for a Saturday delivery and they did not arrive until Monday. I had wanted to wear them on the Saturday for a barbecue.

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we do not have our own couriers and have to pay for shipment to a courier, we use Royal Mail and DPD. Your order should have been sent out with Royal Mail for you and it was sent with DPD. We do not have an arrangement with DPD to deliver on a weekend, but the post office do deliver on a Saturday. Although we do not guarantee a Saturday delivery, the chances are that it would have been with you on time. We are sorry that this has happened and that you were unable to wear your shoes on the day that you wanted them for. I have contacted you seperately with regards to this. Older woman shop assistant in Chichester shop was very abrupt, informed me that sandals in my size were not in stock as Autumn range was coming in. I was told that I could order online in-store or at home. I said that I would order in store. She promptly walked off with no comment. Younger member of staff on check out took my order, cannot fault her service.

They look lovely but are no good for me as they are very narrow and the sizing is a bit small.

Having always bought my kids shoes here, sadly I was disappointed this time around. The sales assistant took a very long time locating the several pairs of shoes my two kids selected during our visit. Both children got frustrated and bored. Myself too. It was long and not fun. None of the shoes we wanted were actually available in the sizes we needed and we ended up having to order them after spending approx. 40 mins trying desperately to get sorted in store. The ordering and payment process was another palaver, where another customer ended up entertaining my daughter while I jiggled a fed up baby and tried to listen to the upselling attempts from the sales assistant. I felt she did not know her audience and did little to help us have an enjoyable experience.

Ordering process easy and delivery was within the time stated, the bag I ordered was as described . However the item I received came with no tags and the plastic wrapping was open . It did feel like no care had been given to repackage the bag sent back by somebody else . Although the bag was creased at the front it appeared otherwise clean and unused. I liked the bag and so kept it ,even though the presentation was poor .

Good but next day delivery paid for was the day after. Nothing said at the time of ordering that it would be a weekday. Wasted postage.

Unfortunately, our next day service only applies to working days and does have a cut off period of 5PM. As your order was placed on Saturday, the first working day was Monday. Ordered sandals . They were much wider than expected and not quite the write up that was given. Disappointed but as Charles Clinkard are really good with returns , it wasnt a problem getting a full refund. Hasn't put me off ..ill just look again.

The slippers are far to wide for normal feet not fat ones. I will have to buy them from Spain which still do half sizes and narrow fittings. Julian

Took longer than expected to arrive, paid for express delivery but be aware that their express delivery is unlike most other companies - rang to enquire and was told that they were "sourcing the item from their suppliers" and that the express delivery time is from when sourced not when ordered - happy with item but wouldn't prefer agin if in a hurry

I ordered a leather bag online. Unfortunately when it arrived it was not the design as shown and I was told the design shown online was a mistake! I was advised that I would have to pay to return it. Rather than pay for the return of a faulty item I have kept it but am very very disappointed.

As suggested, unfortunately, the image displayed on our website was incorrect - the emblem was located in a different area on the bag than originally shown. This has now been updated on our website. As discussed with our Customer Services Dept, we would have provided a free return label, but I believe at that point you preferred to keep the item instead. If this is no longer the case, and the bag is unused, please let us know and we can arrange a return for you. I hope you'll accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused. Box was all ripped as though a Stanley knife had gone through it. Packer must have noticed this when they sent the trainers. Not a good luck for a present.

Customer service is scripted for staff and “ free delivery “ is already free so is not a “gift “ to you as a special customer. Some shoes are high in price but good shoes cost.

Thank you for your review. I can assure you that our customer service department are not scripted, we speak to each individual customer with regard to any help or problem and as such, cover many different areas where a script would be impossible. All customers who order online get free delivery if an order is over £40, I am not sure where you thought that this was offered as a gift and apologise if this seemed to be the case. We do have a rewards scheme for customers where if you spend over £100 in a 6 month period you get 5% at least back based on the value of your purchases of your total spend. These come in the way of a monetary voucher. You do need to sign up for these if you would like to participate. Rewards customers also get discounts throughout the full month of their birthday and discounts at certain parts of the year. We have a range of brands, some more expensive than others, and hope that you find that you been able to find something that is suitable for your requirements. We do end of season sales too where you may be able to grab a bargain. I hope that this information is of help. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

I’m a little disappointed. They are royal blue not navy and the cut of the the front/top of foot pieces of material isn’t identical.
