We use the shop in Wilmslow the staff are always polite and helpful no matter how many shoes you try on. They will order shoes for you and happy when you take returns. They are also dog friendly. Lots of choice and good makes.

Clinkards made me happy because I was able to visit a store. Getting the right shoes is important and I like to go to a store. In recent years I’ve occasionally ordered online at Clinkards most likely because size not available in store. I liked that option, as I could get a refund on collection if the shoes didn’t fit. Sadly my store in Meadowhall is now closed and I am really disappointed to the point it is unlikely I will purchase much from Clinkards again. There aren’t many decent shoe shops about I’m at a loss why the store has closed. I am certainly not going to pay for returns.

Very good delivery. Unfortunately I had to return my last purchase (Reiker) as they were too narrow for me. Easy to return and should be reimbursed shortly. Have used Charles Clinkard for many years and always had good service.

On 15/9/25 we ordered a pair of sandals for next day delivery. We paid £5.25for this service. We explained to two members of staff that we were going on holiday on 18/9/25. They assured us that they would arrive in time. They did not arrive, there was 2 days in which they could have arrived before we went on holiday. My wife could have chosen other sandals if Charles Clinkard had not assured us they would arrive in time. She went on holiday without sandals. Truly disappointed with this service. Charles Clinkard should not have assured us that they would 'arrive the next day' and charged us if that was not going to happen. We have not got the sandals and not know where they are. We want a complete refund, including postage.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m very sorry that your order didn’t arrive in time for your holiday. As promised in store, your order was prioritised by our warehouse and sent via Next Day Delivery. Unfortunately, it appears that the parcel was delayed with Royal Mail, and their first delivery attempt was made on Friday 19th September. Please accept my sincere apologies for this - regrettably, delivery delays are outside of our control once the parcel has left our warehouse. A card was left at your address, and I can see that you’ve already requested a change - either a redelivery or collection from a Post Office. This change has been confirmed to you via email. In these circumstances, we’re unable to issue a refund until the order has been returned to us. If the parcel isn’t delivered or collected, it will be returned to us automatically within the next few weeks. Once we receive your order back, we’ll be happy to refund your postage costs also, in light of your experience.
