Extremely dissatisfied with this purchase. There was a handwritten note inside shoebox from previous purchaser which should have been removed! Also free gift had been taken!

Disgusting customer service!! Ordered a pair of lelli Kelly sandals for my daughters 6th birthday. Opened the box to find the ‘free gift ‘ that comes as standard with all Lelli Kelly shoes had been taken out!! Really disappointed daughter- emailed customer services and no response still after 12 days!! Avoid ordering from Charles clinkard!!

The shoes are very nice looking, however, the sizing of the shoe is way off. I bought a size 5 shoe but the shoe fits a size 6 foot or possibly size 7 foot. I tried to send them back but the shipping company told me the cost would be 170 pounds to return them. I really am not happy I cannot wear these new pair of shoes.

Hello, Thankyou for your review. As size and fit is personal, we cannot guarantee a particular style will fit and we are disappointed to hear you found these unsuitable. With regards to returns, the cost you have been quoted does seem excessive and as we get returns regularly from overseas I would certainly shop around and see if an alternative courier can offer a more cost effective way for you to send these to us. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered Birkenstocks which were described as being wholly synthetic. I want this because I am vegan. The sandals I received were leather. I asked for a refund on postage which was refused because the sandals were not described as vegan. I attached a photo of the product description and my order confirmation with a link to it but still refused. I am speechless.

Not happy . I spent around £60 for a pair of shoes and the soles were greyish as if they had been on display or had been returned .

I ran up and questioned and the payable return policy and slot of places are changing and your staff was very rude and I said you lost a customer and she replied oh well then . I always shop in your stores and this had put me off

My sandals arrived except 2 different sizes, a size 4 which was correct and a size 5, very disappointing to say the least, I then had to wait for a returns label to be sent to me and then a trip to the post office to return them to you, very inconvenient to say the least.

We had only a skeleton staff on at this time due to Covid 19 and although this is no excuse, we were concentrating on getting orders out on time and this order has not been checked as it would have been at other times. I placed an order for some Rohde mule slippers, size 37 and provided my credit card details. Despite your website stating that confirmation of my order would be sent to me, I did not receive such an e-mail. Further I was charged for delivery which is contrary to the claim you state on your website that no delivery charge is payable. Please contact me.

Shoes were poorly fitting and 2 of the 4 pairs ordered were too small. Only one pair were satisfactory. Your RETURNS policy us INADEQUATE especially during lock down with no returns label etc. I and my family will not therefore risk using your firm again. I have list a lot of money

the shoes i ordered never arrived despite emails constantly telling me their suppliers had despatched them !!!! Waiting for a refund not expecting that to arrive either !!!

Received a 5 for one foot and a 5 1/2 for the other. Ordered size 5. Now have to return and Clinkards won't dispatch more until this useless pair are returned. In the shielding group so ordered shoes I knew would fit, not impressed. Now have the headache of finding someone to take to PO.

The shoes were not new, they were dirty and had obviously been around a while. The boxes were torn and broken. to cap it all, one pair still had the return note inside as faulty from last October. The lady who purchased them in October had spent £56, I was being charged £75, full price for shoes which had already been returned and obviously never checked. I returned them with a letter and sent an email to the managing director. I have had my money back, but, to date, only the girl on the switchboard has offered any apology. I find this unbelievable, or is it normal and I have just been lucky in the past ? I thought of Charles Clinkard as a reputable company, no longer.

All items which are returned by customers are thoroughly checked before being placed back into stock and prior to dispatch, and any stock which shows sign of damage or wear should not be dispatched again. The purpose of the box is to protect the product inside, however having said that any boxes which show damage should have been changed and the item re-packaged. I would like to sincerely apologise that the items you received on this occasion did not meet our usual high standards and assure you we are taking your concerns seriously. You made it impossible for me to buy from you. Having found some shoes and put them in my "bag," I entered my credit card details and pressed "Buy." As I have shopped with you before, I used the existing customer pathway, but was told to check out using my Amazon account. Why would I want to do that? So I quit the transaction.

received my sons shoes on January 31st. By Tuesday they had a hole in them which i was then told that they had to be posted back to be inspected! Having to now fork out for yet another pair of shoes while the faulty shoes are being INSPECTED!

Very good experience in shop. Shoes not in stock in the shop. Ordered in the shop and arrived promptly, but contained the wrong pair of shoes in the box. Box was correct. Customer services contacted and would not send correct pair until incorrect pair returned.
