I have twice advised someone that I do not get points although I have an account online and card as when I can I shop in York. Nobody has bothered to email me about this.

I can see that you have purchased online recently and that the points are there, but if you feel that the points are incorrect, you can contact us via chat on our website during the week days, by calling us on 0345 241 7742, emailing sales@clinkard.co.uk (all emails are replied to within 24 hours) or even by asking in store for them to check for you. New shoes already coming apart. Unsuitable shoes also returned with a cost of £5 to Yodel - disappointing. Won't be purchasing from Charles Clinkards in future.

If an item is faulty, we would not expect a customer to have to pay to return it to us. please if you discover a fault again, let us know so that we can advise how to return the shoes to us. Bought shoes that were £39.99, they arrived with a £27 sale sticker inside them. After sending them back I bought them direct from Start Rite for 24.99.

Wouldn't shop with this company again cost £8.95 to return my purchase as they were too big, they recommend all returns should be returned registered post by royal mail...... I have contacted them and they are not concerned at all whereas mist other company's provide a free return or collection Will not use this company again lesson learned ......

Hello Thankyou for your review. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your recent shopping experience with Charles Clinkard. We ask customers to pay towards the cost of the returns and do recommend a tracked service for your reassurance however you are able to return whichever method is convenienent for you. Collectplus is £4.49 and covers up to 10kg in weight, this is ideal for heavier items as well as multiple packages. It also offers a tracked service however a printer is all that is required to print off the label. Additionally, as we offer 365 days for a return, you can visit a Charles Clinkard store with your invoice and a refund or exchange can be processed. Missed the delivery date 3 times. When arrived cheaply made, clasp catches but now I don't have time to return it. Never again. Very disappointed. Please avoid

First time ordered from these boots arrived faulty. Returned for an exchange and received a second faulty pair. Returned for exchange again and they don’t have any that aren’t faulty. Not a good first experience at all !

I can see that my colleague did try to get more, but as it was the last of our current stock, we were unable to get antother pair for you. The website was easy to use and the shoes were a good price and good quality. However, delivery was another matter. I paid extra for next day delivery which I did not get. DPD firstly blamed delays on the snow then changed the story and said they couldn't find the property on their SatNav (they found it the next day with no problem) so whilst I was happy with the shoes I would suggest you review your delivery company before you charge for next day delivery which doesn't happen. After this review was published I received an email from Charles Clinkard telling me they were refunding the delivery charge and asking me to revise the review. However I have not received the refund so I am now amending the review as requested.

Thank you for your review. We were unaware of this happening and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We did actually receive your order on Friday eve, the website states that we will dispatch the next working day which is Monday and therefore delivery would be Tuesday. However, we have started to get a collection on the weekend and apologise for any conflicting information from DPD that the delivery would be Monday, and then it did not happen. Order a pair of boots as a present for my daughter yesterday and paid for next day delivery. Was expecting to get them today but order status is still processing, they haven’t even dispatched them yet. Customer service doesn’t reply. Looks like the gift will arrive way too late

Both pairs of shoes came in complete damaged boxes. Returns procedure is very confusing and customer services gave me the incorrect information. So much hassle just to try and return items Will never be ordering online from them again.

With regard to returns, you can take back to a Charles Clinkard store or return via any postal method you wish. I have bought many pairs of shoes from Charles clinkard over the years, and have always scored 5.;Recently I ordered a pair of Gabor trainers which were very narrow and I couldn’t fasten them. When I came to return them I had to pay £4.95. This was not made clear on the website. I would have ordered the next size up to see if they fit but can’t afford to pay another £4.95 to return. Surely when non essential shops are closed this is an excessive amount to return a pair of trainers, when we are unable to visit the shop.

As you suggested, should you need to return your items via the post, we recommend services such as Collect +, where you can return from as little as £4.49 or Royal Mail. However, should you wish to return items to a shop, we have extended our returns policy to 365 days so once they re-open, you can do this. I hope this helps for any future purchases. We would price match on the following terms: The item our price is being compared to must be the same style, colour and size and must be in stock to purchase from the comparison company-The size you require is out of stock on their website. The company providing the comparison product must be comparable to Charles Clinkard. This means that the company must have a UK presence that is not solely based online. Used there online guide to measure for new shoes ended up being 2 sizes too big and they make it impossible for returns with little to no help on any platforms for someone to talk to!

Had to pay £5 for delivery and when the boots arrived they were very small so had to pay to send them back. Won’t use this company again.

With regards to returns, we offer a free UK standard delivery with a minimum spend of £40.00, however we do ask customers to pay the return cost. You can return to a Charles Clinkard store or to our Head Office. We recommend a tracked service, as we do not take responsibility for the parcel until it has been signed for at our Head Office. A Collect Plus label can be purchased through the returns section of our website, this standardises the price to £4.49. This covers up to 10kg of returns and is useful for multiple purchases or heavier items. 2 pairs boots ordered, 1 tracking number provided, it doesn’t work!! 1 pair arrive, damaged parcel, so phone call made to ask Re 2nd pair? Informed they’d check up on it, 6 days later I ring again to be told we don’t know?? I’ll chase them up, sAy not good enough I want to speak to a manager, get told none available, next thing phone call back from original advisor to say Dpd have just got back to them, I didn’t an do not believe a word of it Still never heard from a manager!!!
