“On 15/9/25 we ordered a pair of sandals for next day delivery. We paid £5.25for this service. We explained to two members of staff that we were going on holiday on 18/9/25. They assured us that they would arrive in time. They did not arrive, there was 2 days in which they could have arrived before we went on holiday. My wife could have chosen other sandals if Charles Clinkard had not assured us they would arrive in time. She went on holiday without sandals. Truly disappointed with this service. Charles Clinkard should not have assured us that they would 'arrive the next day' and charged us if that was not going to happen. We have not got the sandals and not know where they are. We want a complete refund, including postage.”

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m very sorry that your order didn’t arrive in time for your holiday. As promised in store, your order was prioritised by our warehouse and sent via Next Day Delivery. Unfortunately, it appears that the parcel was delayed with Royal Mail, and their first delivery attempt was made on Friday 19th September. Please accept my sincere apologies for this - regrettably, delivery delays are outside of our control once the parcel has left our warehouse. A card was left at your address, and I can see that you’ve already requested a change - either a redelivery or collection from a Post Office. This change has been confirmed to you via email. In these circumstances, we’re unable to issue a refund until the order has been returned to us. If the parcel isn’t delivered or collected, it will be returned to us automatically within the next few weeks. Once we receive your order back, we’ll be happy to refund your postage costs also, in light of your experience. I hope this clarifies the situation, and apologise again for the inconvenience caused on this occasion. Best wishes Rosie | Customer Services
