“I have shopped at Charles Clinkard in Newbury today and am overwhelmed with the courtesy and helpfulness I was offered. I had a pair of boots I needed to return and had damaged the box. I had taken ages to decide - the boots are lovely and I so wanted them to fit. But in the end I returned them and Newbury made no fuss and refunded immediately even remembering me purchasing the boots a few weeks earlier. I felt valued … even though I was returning. This has encouraged me to return to Charles Clinkard again for my next pair of shoes. Thank you”

“My Nikita knee high boots arrived extremely quickly and I'm thrilled with them. The leather is good quality and the detail is superb, the heel has a discreet grey/black stripe that cannot be seen on the online photographs. The sizing is accurate, I am a 5.5, wide fit and I ordered a 6 as I like to wear thick socks under boots and they are so comfortable. Excellent buy.”

“Great shop online and offline. Just wish sizing between different brands was consistent, can you do anything? As a size English 8.5 it's pretty difficult to get shoes from anywhere but here. So thanks Clinkards for helping me find shoes!”

“We use the shop in Wilmslow the staff are always polite and helpful no matter how many shoes you try on. They will order shoes for you and happy when you take returns. They are also dog friendly. Lots of choice and good makes.”

“Clinkards made me happy because I was able to visit a store. Getting the right shoes is important and I like to go to a store. In recent years I’ve occasionally ordered online at Clinkards most likely because size not available in store. I liked that option, as I could get a refund on collection if the shoes didn’t fit. Sadly my store in Meadowhall is now closed and I am really disappointed to the point it is unlikely I will purchase much from Clinkards again. There aren’t many decent shoe shops about I’m at a loss why the store has closed. I am certainly not going to pay for returns.”

“Very good delivery. Unfortunately I had to return my last purchase (Reiker) as they were too narrow for me. Easy to return and should be reimbursed shortly. Have used Charles Clinkard for many years and always had good service.”
