Customer service in the shop was great but Waited in all day for my order and it never came until 7pm

I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter. Unfortunately my address was incorrect on the parcel and the courier could not deliver straight away. I had signed up with the courier for delivery notification so they were able to contact me via email and ask that I get in touch with them. The incorrect address caused a 3 day delay. When the boots arrived they were beautiful, my daughter loves them and says they're nery comfortable. I was worried because she has a wide fit foot but they fit perfectly. I would have given a 5 star but the wrong address was a big mistake

Happy?....well, the customer service team were first class handling my problem. Thank you. Furious, though, to discover it cost £8.60 to return boots. The distance to a click-and-collect shop is not an option. I do almost all shopping online and CC is the only business charging for returns. This totally puts me off, so I’ll be shopping in future for footwear with my other usual retailers.

We do ask customers to pay towards the returns and there are many ways into which a return can be processed. Collectplus is £4.49 and covers up to10KG in weight, Royal Mail also have varying services and will depend on which option you choose. Very pleased with customer service and quality of shoes but the ones from Josef Seibel were smaller than the standard size 6 I usually order from other shoe manufacturers. As I don't have a printer, it was impossible to return the shoes by courier, as recommended. The nearest store is miles away so not convenient, so had to return by Royal Mail special "signed for" delivery. Will not be ordering more shoes on- line from Charles Clinkard.

You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. The Post Office has various services and charges depending on what you request and you can also use Collectplus which is £4.49 for up to 10kG in weight and ideal for larger items or multiple orders. The product was great and delivery fast. But, I was surprised to open the box to find the boots simply chucked in with no packaging at all! Not even slightly wrapped in paper. The shoes had obviously been tried on, and one of the bits of moulded paper that should have been in the tow of the boot was just lying randomly in the box! As a first time customer - I thought this was really poor.

The boots were delivered on time sadly one felt very loose fitting so I have returned.I would like to say that the box the oops arrived in was battered and tatty looking like it had been used before.I was also unhappy with the cost of nearly ten pounds to return them.

I found buying was not easy, the website is not user friendly. I was afraid of buying two pairs of shoes, and was surprised when ONE pair arrived as I didn't realize I had actually bought them!!!!

Thank you for your review. Your order was placed on the 14th November and dispatched on the 18th. Our free delivery service does state that the time to dispatch can be up to 5 working days. It is not usually this long and your order was dispatched on the 4th working day. You can opt for a paid service, for £2.99 we can guarantee a dispatch within 3 working days or for £5.99 a next working day delivery. We do hope that this information will help for future orders. I love these boots but unfortunately each pair I have received so far have been faulty. Badly marked leather and a scratch on one boot so I have had to return them. Not sure if I will try a 3rd time as it costs me each time. Is there no check for faults these days?

The fit was too small for me and I couldn't do them up so had to send them back, a great shame because I love Gabor boots! please make them bigger! on a separate note, £2.99 delivery is quite steep on boots that are almost £200 to buy and then another £4.99 to return them also isn't great...however the worst part was having to take them to a shop to return (no collection options are available) which was over half way to the store for us so I just returned them to the store to save some money! a free delivery / return option would be good but a collected returns option I would think essential in todays market!

There are different options for a return which can work our more cost efficient including Collectplus which is £4.49 and offers a tracked service, the label can be accessed via our returns section, you then enter the order details and a label is sent across or you to print. You can then drop at a Collection Point near to you. The service covers up to 10KG in weight and is ideal for larger order/multiple items.
