“Ordering on line was very easy- I knew exactly which pair of Birkenstocks I wanted as needed to replace the pair I use almost every day. What swung it for me was that I have bought things from Charles Clinkard before for me and pairs of school shoes for our five children. Always good service in the shop. The 20% discount made the decision a no-brainer!”

Thank you for your review. We often have discount codes on our website for existing customers. A new customer registering with us can get a 10% discount when they sign up. I can see that you are a regular customer and were indeed entitled to your 20% discount which I have refunded for you today. You just needed to add the code given when yu placed the order. You also have a loyalty voucher worth £12 which can be used against any order, it was valid when this order was placed, if you would like to use it we can refund the £12 for you and cancel the voucher for you. Please let us know if you would like us to do this for you. It is valid until 30/04/2026 and we can provide the number if you would like to keep it for a future order. “Excellent mail order service BUT neither of the two pairs of shoes I ordered fitted and were not in stock at my local branch. I have returned the shoes, but don't want you to send alternative sizes since I feeel this is such a waste of resources in packing, transport, return processes. MAIL ORDER is really against my principles - perhaps more suitable for those living far from shops. I do have a local store and will have to depend on what they have in future.”

“Just visited the Charles Clinkard store in Burford where my wife and daughter in law purchased shoes It was not the first time we have shopped there and have received first class service The attention to detail in ensuring that the the correct size and fitment was made using the foot stand and not left to try on shoes yourself The lady that served us I think was was called Judy was a credit to the company”
