The shoe box was broken when I received my sandals. They were reduced but the reduction was not passed into me and I had to ask for it. The second pair of sandals were a poor design and rubbed in two places. I am annoyed that I had to pay nearly £4 to return these sub standard sandals.

Easy online service & quick Unfortunately the shoes were all scratched up but had no choice but to keep them as they turned up late in the day and they were to wear the next day and every where around us were sold out

Good service and delivery. I bought these shoes on the recommendation of other customers, unfortunately these shoes are not as comfortable as I expected them to be. I wore them all day at work and my feet were incredibly sore afterwards. Great shoes for short periods of time.

Charles Clinkard didn't actually make me happy, I had been looking for a particular pair of boots by Gabor, they advertised them but when they arrived the were the wrong ones and unless I could return them to a Clinkard shop I was expected to pay for the return. Not good enough

Fast delivery and friendly, competent staff However it would be better to have free returns policy. I spent £11 returning boots when you did not have the next size u for an exchange, meaning it cost me £11 for nothing.

You can use our onlne facility to return your order. For £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo of goods via collect + and an address is given to a store near to you home where you can drop off the parcel. This would allow you to send back several pair at the same time, or you could return to any Charles Clinkard store. one of the two pairs of shoes I ordered was clearly scuffed at the front. the delivery speed was fine. the clarity of colour could be better on your website.

A little frustrating actually! Attempted to purchase a pair of Peter Kaiser shoes in York. At the till discovered the heal was scuffed. The assistant kindly offered to order another pair and have posted home for meFOC. Great! Shoes arrived but again scuffed. At the Leeds store the manager was helpful and agreed to order a further two pairs as a precaution but when they arrived one of those was imperfect. Eventually I bought a perfect pair, two trips into Leeds later!! Far from satisfactory!

Good service, fast delivery but did not like having to pay return costs, most companies have a free returns policy

Whilst we offer free delivery with our orders with item dispatched within 2-5 working days, we currently do not offer free returns. Returns can be taken into a Charles Clinkard store and you can also opt to use Collectplus at a charge of £4.49 which is up to 10kg in weight and is a more convenient option as you can drop off the item in your own time and also track the return. You can also use Royal Mail , they offer multiple services at different rates. Please be assured we take on board all commentsand we may opt to offer a free returns service in the future. I will not be buying shoes on line ever as return postage is not free and would cost a fortune to post unless one lives near one of your shops

The shoes are lovely but the delivery awful. After ordering the shoes I rang to ask that the shoes were not thrown over a side gate. They were delivered by DPDLocal and were thrown over the yet high gate and landed between a shed a were under an outside tap. I responded to two texts from DPDLocal asking where I wanted to have the parcel delivered and responded by saying a neighbour. This was ignored. If people are to continue with online ordering the companies need to be more demanding of the couriers

It is not acceptable that they threw your parcel in such a way that could have caused damage to your purchase. The slippers looked used slightly. And were not packed neatly as if they had been returned before. Although they were ok I felt let down by packaging and also a dirty mark on sole of one slipper.

By sending my order by Royal Mail, 1st class, after DPD failed to find my house then sent the order back without following the delivery request to make a second delivery to a drop off shop. They just returned to Charles Clinkard. Suggest CC use a different carrier.

We have looked into this further for you and a request is clearly stated for your parcel to be left at the DPD Drop off shop of your choice. This was not followed through and the parcel arrived back at our Main Office. We arranged delivery for you and are pleased to hear you have now safelt received your items.
