“This is the second time I have ordered shoes from Charles Clinkard. Unfortunately the first pair I ordered a few months ago did not fit, but the return process was very easy, and the most recent a pair of summer espadrilles arrived promptly and they fit beautifully and are really comfortable. I would definitely order from therm again.”

“I've been buying from Clinkards years but even I was surprised when I worked out its actually over 40+ years! I've been a staunch supporter, love the shoes, and the store and recommend them to friends all the time (though I'm stilll sorely disappointed at the closure of Sheffield store, which I miss every time I go to Meadowhall.) Following receipt of a "Sale" email I ordered a pair of shoes on 17/6 while on holiday so asked for delivery to Leeds store, for collection on my return. Received email confirming order received and shoes despatched. Heard nothing at all subsequently. Came home and eventually on 30/6 uncovered a complete muddle with my order. Received email on 30/6 asking how my shoes are! Emailed to ask Clinkards to look into this becaue I was still waiting for the order. Fairly quick response but the reply stunned me! They'd tried to email me but it didn't work, ad they didn't have a number to ring me! 40 years a customer, remember! Went into the Leeds store, tried the shoes on and was very unsure about their comfort. Alix was absolutely wonderful with me. Patient and kind. As I was being served she checked my record on their computer, and confirmed my email address (correct) and my mobile number (correct) so neither of us could fathom what had gone on. I took the shoes and am in the process of trying them at home. I like them, I'm not sure they like my feet! The service from the online order was definitely questionable but the service I received in the store was just briliant. Thank you for maintaining such great in-store service levels Alix!”
