Not a happy customer item ordered was not the one listed on the website that was posted out so paid for delivery as item was exactly £40 if a penny over would have been free paid to return item so out of pocket by £7 will not be using this company again if a company has free postage to deliver out you do not mind paid return as a majority of the time you keep the item ordered

Would have been 5 stars but I think having to pay for return(s) is a let down to the company I will not order from Charles Clinkard again

Thank you for your review. You can return to any Charles Clinkard store if you have one close to you, but we do ask customers to cover the cost of returns. We do deliver to the customer where we pay postage, and if an exchange is needed, we again cover the cost of postage to you. There is a link on our website where for £4.49 you can buy a label which will cover up to 10 kilo of returns in one package. This would cover the return of several pairs if you have bought several for choice. I do hope that this information is of help and that you might order again in the future. I am just not very pleased with having to pay to return the item as was too small. For this reason I will not be shopping here again.

For future, you can return to any of our retail stores or you can purchase a label from Collect Plus from as little as £4.49. This is the second time I have ordered shoes from Clinkards since they closed their children's shoe shops in the area. Shoes arrive in good time and any issues they are quick to inform you of. I return the shoes in shop which would be easier if there was a closer shop to me. I do have the option to return by post, however, there is a charge for that. Considering there is no children's shoe shop in the area or city, it is the one thing that lets them down.

Thank you for your review. Your order was shipped on September 4 with Royal Mail. This will show in your own country tracking once it has passed through customs. It has left the UK and whilst in transit and customs will show at in transit until it clears. If you feel that you need more information, please send an email to sales@clinkard.co.uk. Website choice and ease of use is very good. Excellent customer service over phone too when I needed to sort out an issue. Was let down by the store itself in Stratford-upon-Avon. They used to have lovely staff who were experienced and knew what they were doing. Now they appear to have young staff who don’t really know anything about fitting shoes. Not what should be happening in children’s dept when it’s really important to have shoes that are fitted properly. Put me off going there again sadly.

Delighted with the trainers. Had a few hiccups re paying and delayed delivery but all sorted to my satisfaction by the call centre staff. Would use them again

I really like the shoes I bought but a 3 and a half would have been much morecomfortable I now ha e to go and get insoles as I could only get a size 4 shoe

Slightly disappointed in time take to arrive. Also scuffs on the sole of one of the shoes as though purchased, worn outside and returned.

I ordered two pairs in the same style as buying shoes online is tricky as sizes vary. I was disappointed that return postage for the unsuitable pair was at my own cost, in this case £8.95. I would hesitate to order again for this reason.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see that you were charged so much to return your shoes. You can return items to us using second class post which is around £2.85, and pop to your local post office, you can add tracking for about 80p more. You can also use any courier of your choice, or use the link on our website for Collect + which allows up to 10 kilo in weight to be returned for the low cost of £4.49. Good service. However dispatch and delivery very slow compared to other places. Also did not receive an email to say my ordered was ready for collection in store. Will still use again though as good deal on my items so worth the extra wait.

The initial purchase from here was not great. I got sent a pair of shoes that had obvious signs of being on display. Totally different colours and one had signs of wear. I contacted customer service straight away and they couldn’t have done more. So polite, calm and professional, and I got a new pair the next day. Both people I spoke to on different occasions, knew the problem so it is obvious the system used is updated and passed on to the correct people efficiently. Best customer service I have ever been in contact with. Thank you.

I am so disappointed in them I wanted a size larger that I tried on the shop . When they arrived although a size larger they still are no bigger . Plus had marks on one and on the sole . I have now got to make a journey to Shrewsbury to return them . Very disappointed don’t think I will bother again 😩

The trainers were perfect but the delivery was not as paid for. I paid for a Saturday delivery and they did not arrive until Monday. I had wanted to wear them on the Saturday for a barbecue.

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we do not have our own couriers and have to pay for shipment to a courier, we use Royal Mail and DPD. Your order should have been sent out with Royal Mail for you and it was sent with DPD. We do not have an arrangement with DPD to deliver on a weekend, but the post office do deliver on a Saturday. Although we do not guarantee a Saturday delivery, the chances are that it would have been with you on time. We are sorry that this has happened and that you were unable to wear your shoes on the day that you wanted them for. I have contacted you seperately with regards to this. Older woman shop assistant in Chichester shop was very abrupt, informed me that sandals in my size were not in stock as Autumn range was coming in. I was told that I could order online in-store or at home. I said that I would order in store. She promptly walked off with no comment. Younger member of staff on check out took my order, cannot fault her service.

They look lovely but are no good for me as they are very narrow and the sizing is a bit small.
