To be fair, the service was as expected, delivered as advised. Unfortunately they delivered the wrong colour which meant the inconvenience of returning(it was very heavy). Collection was as advised.

Product was good but was abit dissapointed that I was told if I wanted to return my original order I’d have to pay for currier cost which would be similar amount to what I paid for the item. After ordering more I am now stuck with a whole roll of vinyl I can’t do much with.

Sorry you are disappointed that we dont pay for customers to return flooring they ordered incorrectly. Your flooring was cut to order but we still agreed to accept a return which we cannot re-sell at full price. We are also taking a hit on the original outgoing delivery costs. Everything considered, your negative rating is pretty unfair.

Delivery quick but the sample was too small, how can I work out how it will look in my kitchen??

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the feedback! Sorry you are unhappy with the size of your free floor tile sample. Our free sample service is described here: https://www.best4flooring.co.uk/free-floor-samples/. We don't usually send out anything less than 7 inches - Is yours smaller than this? We know only too well how disappointing it can be to expect a certain size and then feel let down. It could that we need to give the lads in the warehouse a good talking to if they are being stingy with their cut. Of course we would be delighted to help you work out if the flooring you have your eye on will look in your kitchen. We can arrange to send a full sized tile . Just call our sales team and they will arrange this for you. Please note there is a non-refundable charge for the supply, packaging and postage of a single full sized tile. Pleased with the flooring. Unfortunately there was a 6" tear in the vinyl sheet about 4' from the end of the roll. Fortunately I had allowed an error margin. Which meant I could just cover the floor area.

There were a number of damaged boxes which my wife did not see when she signed for the delivery. I have not claimed for them because of this but will send you photos if you wish. Also the underlay was of no use as I was installing the floor on concrete and the underlay requires a waterproof membrane per building regs. This should be included in your standard instructions.

Hi Laurence, We are so very sorry you feel this way :( Sadly, damage can occur during transit but as you said, you never actually told us about it so we didn't actually get any opportunity to investigate and resolve it. We offer FREE underlay so it's unusual for customers to be unhappy at getting a free product but you do have the option to remove it from your shopping cart and choose an underlay that is more suitable for your installation. If you choose to go down the DIY route it is vital that you thoroughly research and seek advice beforehand so you are aware exactly what products you need for the job. Our installation guides do indeed mention the need for protecting floors against rising damp and our sales team would have advised had you asked beforehand. Again, we are sorry you feel unhappy about your experience but it is rather unfair to write a negative review when you didn't actually make us aware of any issues or give us any opportunity to resolve it. "Delivery" via Royal Mail. No notification of when item would be delivered. Now in sorting office over the other side of York. Very inconvenient. Why can't item be left with a neighbour? Jane Gill

I ordered two cuts of the same patterned vinyl and was told that they would be delivered on the wed. A delivery was made, I didn't check that both cuts were in the package but assumed that they were and booked the fitter. The fitter arrived and found the larger piece which he had to use to fit the bathroom as the plumber was standing by to fit the toilet and sink over the vinyl. I called your office who followed up and told me that the other piece would be delivered later that day, this was really not helpful as the piece was too small and the fitter would not be there. I was told that if I wanted to get a bigger piece I would have to re-order and pay for another piece, I expressed my annoyance at this as it was not my fault and was told that there was nothing that they could do and that delivery was not their remit. Needless to say I ordered from another supplier and won't be using you or recommending your company to anyone.

Product good but not sent to the address I put down so didn’t receive the goods when I should of. And still not received shocking should of received on Tuesday and was still waiting Friday job had to be put back

I phoned best4flooring before placing my order in relation to if I was not at home for delivery can I get it delivered to my neighbour in the same block of flats, I was told once I have placed my order to send an email stating my neighbours address which I did and that I can be reassured that it will be taken there if I was not available, alas my parcel firstly got delivered to Liverpool instead of London, I had to chase it up and it was delivered the following day but as no one was in they took it away, apparently there was no note to let the delivery driver know to go to my neighbours. I received my parcel 3 days late.

Hi Elaine, Sorry you did not receive your free samples. We're not over the moon about it as it costs us a fair amount of £s to send them out and as you described we have now sent another package using 1st class post and it is concerning they are not reaching your address. When you advised us the first set didn't arrive do you remember what day this was and who you spoke to? Thanks, Best4flooring

Hi Pauline, I have looked into this for you. We received your request on 19th October and our team packaged 3 free LVT samples and posted them to you via Royal Mail on the same day. We are always happy to send samples on a next day service if needed urgently but this does carry a small charge and I see this was not requested. We will also send out repeat requests if the previous package gets 'lost in the post', I see you did not advise us of any delay. Unfortunately there is little else we can do about Royal Mails delivery times and we have no way of knowing if samples have been received unless you let us know. Kind regards, Best4flooring

was sent an email in the morning saying that my order had been dispatched then received an email in the afternoon saying that the item was out of stock. i had to choose an alternative item

Dear Albert, I have looked into this and can see that you were indeed sent a despatch notification in the morning. This was sent in error and it was explained during your phone call to us that the stock list had not been updated. However we corrected the mistake and advised you the same day. During your phone call with our sales adviser, you were offered a full refund or a replacement product. You chose an alternative product and you were given a free upgrade to AM delivery. Mistakes can happen and in this case it was resolved promptly. There was little else we could have done and at the time you were happy with the resolution. Advertised free starter pack on website. Not delivered with order. Then advised not included with sale product. This is not what is being advertised.

Hi David, I've looked into this and you are correct. The free starter pack promo should have been removed from the product because it is discontinued and heavily discounted. Although staff were pleasant the sample sent was just not big enough for me to visualize it on the floor --it was a tile pattern (Moroccan ) but I didn't even receive the full tile pattern e.g .one tile piece and so half the pattern was missing from the tiny sample i received and so I decided not to risk an order in case I didnt like it. There was also no floor picture of this particular vinyl on the website, just a square of it and so I couldn't visualise it at all I wouldn't recommend because I really don't think the tiny samples that you send are of any real use -- I even sent for a second sample but they just sent the same piece with most of the main pattern missing --again!! Not much help team!!

Hello Katrina, It makes us sad to read how unhappy you are with our free sample service :( The free samples we send are intended to demonstrate the quality (thickness, warmth, texture) of the flooring. With bolder, eclectic and large patterns it can be difficult to showcase the whole design with a free sample. We are working on this but to increase the sample size would mean bringing in a charge. If you had called us to express how upset you were I'm sure we could have arranged to send a larger sample for a small fee. There are 2 lifestyle photos for the design you chose. It is only in one of the colours but it is the exact same design. It does sound as if you would benefit more from the showroom experience where you can see, feel and touch the rolls in their stands. Sadly our showrooms are too far from where you live. Again, we are sorry you were upset with us but hope you find the flooring that is perfect for you. Best wishes, The Best4flooring Team

A big pallet load of heavy boxes of floor tiles arrived in a removal van driven by a young lad who was supposed to only drop them off at the roadside. That alone would have been a disappointment. But the tiles were on a broken pallet so when he tried to get his pallet-mover under it one end of the pallet had to be lifted manually. 'Would you mind coming on-board and lifting the end of this pallet?' he said. 'I'm not supposed to lift heavy things' I said, but he was on his own and there was nothing else to be done. He managed to move it on the pallet-lifter towards the tail-lift, but because of the weight he couldn't stop it running away and crash, about three quarters of the heavy boxes spilled onto the middle of the road. Together we lifted those few boxes still on the van over to the pavement but he was under time pressure so had to drive away. I was left with over an hour's work slowly and carefully (my poor back!) carrying these heavy boxes into the house. Total disaster, not the van guy's fault, just a totally shabby delivery service - wrong vehicle (no hi-ab), broken pallet, only one delivery driver, too much time pressure. The fault lies with Best4flooring for no doubt using the cheapest delivery service they could find.

We use a number of different providers and your order was sent via Pallex. Please be assured we invest a lot of money in the delivery service and this is absolutely not what we expect from them. Bought flooring end of stock range. 3 out of 6 box's had corner damage. Would not buy from online again

Hi Paul, I am so sorry to read this. Sadly consignments can get damaged during transit but we are always keen to rectify it as long as we are told. I am unable to find any record of you contacting us to advise us of of this or we would have arranged replacement or refund and taken it up with the delivery company DX (we do not send out damaged goods). I believe delivery was made in November. Please can you confirm if the flooring itself was damaged and if you still have these boxes? Kind regards, Kay
