Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I've been trying for 2 days to purchase something. As soon as I go to pay, I get prompted to choose a delivery day, but there's no option to choose anywhere on the page!!!

Disappointed with sample colours and blurred marble affect. The colours were not the same as seen online, and more blue than green which is what we after. Sorry but actual material was ideal.

Delivery and dispatch was great however my vinyl had been dented at some point before I had received it and when I came to install said vinyl I'd had a consistent 15cm tear every 45cm about 1 meter from the end of the roll. Was a 3m wide so a 3rd of the vinyl was useless. Not too chuffed and wouldn't recommend on this basis. As a Vinyl fitter I'd recommend using well known brands with tried and tested logistical procedures to ensure these issues are minimised.

Good morning Joe, I do apologise your vinyl was damaged in transit. Have you contacted our customer service team to look into this for you?
Posted 2 years ago
Make sure you get samples! I didn’t as I knew they will always slightly differ in colour and I didn’t expect an exact match as what I picked online, wasn’t hugely fussed on it, but the difference is striking, a complete different colour, and not a very nice one at all. My fault for not getting a sample I know.

Good afternoon, Thank you for your comments, of which are noted. The pictures can slightly differ due to the brightness and contrast on different peoples screens, this is why we offer a free sample service.

Average customer service. The online delivery service booking allowed us to initially book the Friday. We received a call the next day saying that they couldn’t meet this and it would be the following Tuesday. While waiting in for the delivery I received a further phone call letting me know it would be delivered on the Thursday. After a little kick off from myself they delivered on the Wednesday. We had to push the tradesmen back on the date for fitting twice as best4flooring couldn’t stick to a delivery date.

Delivery was late and no way of contacting anyone to find out where it was. The delivery company were even harder to get hold of. Had to take a full day and a half off work to wait for the delivery

Hi Michelle, I can see your item was delivered on 11th May. I've had a look at correspondence and can see that our sales team did respond to your e-mail query, I do apologise if you feel this wasn't done in an efficient time.

Really disappointed, we ordered our flooring on the Thursday, had a email on the Friday to say it had been dispatched and that we would receive our flooring on the Tuesday. On the Monday we were given a time slot for the next day. I then booked a day off as it was a large order. I then booked a fitter for 3 days later. Our flooring never turned up and we spent the following week trying to chase it up with little response from Best4flooring. In the end up we requested a full refund. We did receive our refund very quickly but have now got to look for another more reliable company and move all my furniture out of 3 rooms yet again.

HI Douglas, I do apologise that this happened to you. Unfortunately, the delivery company had trouble with the delivery of the item and it was misrouted a couple of times. We tried our best to resolve this with the courier, and a complaint was made at the time. We do advise to not book a fitter until your flooring has arrived, incase something like this does arise. Although 99% of our deliveries are made in a timely manner, there is a small percentage that this can happen with. If there is anything that we can help you with in the future please let us know.

I have found it pretty frustrating dealing with Best4Flooring. I attempted to phone them at least 4 times at various times of the day, all resulting in the same response advising to more or less email in. Emails were responded to fairly quickly but sometimes you just want to speak to a person and get an immediate response. Delivery was very costly (£50) and not that quick and wasn't delivered on the day advised. Hopefully the vinyl is as expected. I regret that I wouldn't use Best4Flooring again for all these reasons. It's a thumbs down from me I'm afraid 👎

We do have notices on the website and also on the dispatch emails to advise that due to national delivery driver shortages there could be delays in your delivery. I am quite disappointed with my purchase. It feels nice and soft underfoot but is extremely fragile. It rips very readily, not as tough as most cardboard. The flooring that I received is significantly weaker, and quite a different shade from the sample that I was sent (although the colour shade difference doesn't really matter in our application). I can't believe that it will prove to be as durable as the wear rating implies. The Rhino brand vinyl flooring that I put in our bathroom a few months ago is MUCH tougher and far superior and not that much more expensive.

False advertising for durability of vinyl as suitable for Kitchen use. On the face of things, it started out as excellent service, however not only was I disappointed, I am livid at the outcome. I researched via the Best4 floors website for an attractive and durable kitchen sheet vinyl, the product I found on Best 4 flooring was cushioned vinyl, in bold black and white pattern, it states several times that this product is '‘incredibly durable and fully water-proof it is ideal for kitchen and bathroom’. and has symbols to reinforce this. I read deeper into the fine print and the manufactures garrantee is of 5 years, and that it was not resistant to scuffs and stains; no further information was given as to what might stain or what would be suitable or unsuitable as cleaning products, so I telephoned customer services to ask, and voice my concerns as to kitchen suitability and durability, as in everyday kitchen use, there will be some spills and occasional food on the floor, especially of concern to me, as the pattern was black and white. I was assured that this was a suitable product for a kitchen and that it was a 'top seller', and on this advice, I was reassured and went ahead in ordering samples, it looked great, I purchased the product in good faith, and was provided with very helpful laying advice. 2 weeks after laying the floor and before the new kitchen was fully installed, I cooked a low fat, vegetarian tomato based sauce for an evening meal, of which a few small drops fell on the floor, going un- noticed till the following morning, when they were immediately cleaned up..... However it has left a visible pink stain that will not budge. I emailed customer services to ask if this was a durable product suitable for kitchens, and if they could advise of a suitable cleaning product as to remedy the situation. I received this very prompt reply: 'This product is suitable to be used in a kitchen, however, as it is a cushioned product it is porous so is likely to stain is products such as tomato sauce get spilt on the vinyl. You cannot use an abrasive product on the vinyl, and I would not be able to recommend a product that would remove stains.' Note: the website advertisement does not have any of this care or cleaning information on it, nor did it come up in the extensive conversation I had when questioning if it was a suitable and durable product for an active kitchen floor, which expect to receive some spills in its life time. There were several emails back and forth, with no positive outcome, first I asked for a credit note as I will now have to resurface the floor with a kitchen appropriate product ( no doubt this product is brilliant for bathrooms and halls etc, but not for kitchen areas). As it can not withstand everyday cooking and food prep wear and tear, if it stained so easily. Customer services response was ' The manufacturer has advised that the product is suitable to be used in kitchens as it is a hard wearing product in regards to foot traffic, however, it is not a stain resistant product.' Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for third party factors such as spillages on the floor.' my response: With all due respect, ALL floor surfaces are arguably suitable for foot traffic. people walk on floors. If a product is listed as suitable for kitchens, it would imply that it is suitable for normal everyday use, wear and tear in a kitchen, in a kitchen food is prepared, and water is spilt. This product clearly states on your website that it is durable for both kitchen and bathrooms, I understand that such stains may not be expected in a bathroom, but a kitchen is a kitchen.' I then telephoned and spoke to a gentleman who told me that all vinyl floor products stain, and to this is to be expected of a porous product, especially of I spilt tomato sauce on it and didn't clean it up till the next day, and maybe if I had chosen a darker colour product, it wouldn't be so noticable. Which I found both insulting and patronizing, having researched these very points with his customer service prior to purchase. If it had been made clear that this was a porous product, prone to staining with such small amounts of kitchen use, online or in the pre sales phone conversation I took the time to make and ask about the product, obviously I would not have purchased it in the first place. I asked to have the full cost of the flooring of £112.40 to refunded to me, However this has been refused,on the grounds that it is sold as as being a suitable product for kitchen as stated by the manufacturer. My disagree with this, and reason that it was sold to me as durable and kitchen appropriate, however in my experience of using the product, if it clearly is not fit for kitchen use. I have been advised by consumer support organizations to complain to both the trading standards and the ASA under the consumer rights act of 2015, as the product is not fit for purpose as a suitable/durable kitchen flooring, as it has been advertised. I am so very disappointed in both the product and the service. As Staining aside, it looks great, but now it will need to be replaced, as no point in building a new kitchen flooring that is not robust enough to withstand everyday cooking. There are so many great reviews on the website, but I notice they look to be freshly laid floors, I now question what the longer term reality is for these many customers once their kitchen are in use.

Hi Shanti, Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your vinyl flooring but I'd like to thank you for sharing your feedback along with the photographs. As stated on the items specification that you have attached with your review, this vinyl is not stain resistant nor stain proof. Therefore when liquid products are spilled onto the floor, they should be cleaned at that time to prevent the possibility of staining. When raising this issue with ourselves you stated that the Tomato Sauce remained on the floor overnight before being cleaned the next day and unfortunately due to this extended period of time, the vinyl has stained. We try and include as much information as possible on the product page, so I can only apologise that you did not take the information regarding stain resistance into account before purchasing this item. All the best, Phil
