“I bought a CADAC Citi Chef 40 FS and a butane fitting from BBQ World (Dawsons Department Store) online & it was delivered the very next day. The price was also very good too! However I would have given 5 stars only a woman I spoke to on the phone at BBQ World, while I was trying to get help in selecting the correct gas fitting, was very short with me, tried to direct me back to the website, and was not especially pleasant even after I explained that am autistic and needed help please. She did identify the correct fitting in the end.
The I made a second purchase from this store to obtain a different hot plate (half grill / griddle), some silicone BBQ utensils (it's a ceramic hotplate and is damaged by metal tools) a big silicone tub for soaking the hotplate and a stiff brush. All CADAC. Again the prices were great & I received my order the next day. It's worth noting that the FREE BBQ utensils that were included in the BBQ's purchase, although of good quality, we're useless to me because they were made with metal heads; seeing following comments for clarification.
All packaged items were well protected. For the environment's sake, Dawsons could use less plastic in their packaging.
FYI the CADAC instructions left a lot to be desired (there were stages missing and parts not even mentioned at all) and were out of date (included mentions of products they no longer make) too. There was also no mention of washing and tempering the hot plate before first use?
I did use the BBQ for the first time last night and it was excellent! It was bitterly cold in Storm David's wind so I moved the BBQ inside as seen in the picture.”
