“The item was correct for my car, and sent quickly. It was a little dirty and had one of the straps missing which I've had to buy on top of the cost of the parcel shelf. But in hindsight I should have checked this before I agreed to buy. Still, I am pleased to now have a correctly fitting parcel shelf.”
“The concept and delivery of this company is excellent and would deserve more than the 3 stars I have assigned here. I have however, withheld a better score as the part delivered under this service (by another organisation obviously) has proven to be faulty and the true test of a company is how it deals with these kinds of issues. The issue needs to be dealt with by the supplier but I’m interested to see how 1st Choice Spares supports me”

'Hi as soon as we receive the headlight .we will send a replacement if we have it in stock if not he will receive a refund straight away .if you have any issues please ring office we are here to help you thanks'

“The 1st Choice Spares portal is very good and easy to use. My request was actioned very promptly. So full marks to 1st Choice. Sadly for me the company who responded, had the parts, but proved utterly useless in dealing with me and in processing my order. Having failed to deliver as promised and failed to return my calls, I cancelled the order. Much to my surprise, the parts arrived by courier 8 days later and payment had been taken from my credit card.”

“Asked for complete axle quote had to pay more for this and axle was only delivered by myself travelling 1hour to get from couriers yard(as seller did not pay for full delivery as quoted)”

“The item (heater fan for Mercedes SLK) was delivered after a week following a chase-up email. It had been damaged in post and needed me to repair by using glass-fibre to reattach one of the screw fixings. I have now fitted and it does work, however it did seem a lot of money for a second hand item which is already well over 15 years old and actually cost two-thirds the price of an new Merc replacement!”
“In the past, I have always had excellent service. This time, I was very, very unlucky. The part that I needed was located and offered at a fair price in less than 24 hours. Sadly, just one digit mis-recorded on a card transaction and it was delayed by a fortnight! It was only when I "chased up" the delivery that the mistake was discovered. The promised return phone call was not made but it came good eventually.”
“I asked for a near side mirror and the many offers came for a right side with widely varying prices which I was unable to carefully choose between. Eventually, one supplier rang to discuss and slightly pressured me into buying with next-day delivery. When it arrived 4 days later I was unable to use it and returning it seems impractical.”

“Good system for sourcing used parts. Sadly the window motor suppled was not exactly the same as original and doesn’t work from the switch in rear but only the driver’s control. Having paid for a garage to fit this it isn’t cost effective to remove and return to the breaker’s who supplied it. Disappointed as they used car reg to identify the part needed.”

“The item eventually arrived a week after first ordering due to payment hiccup (over-phone payment that didn't go through probably due to mis-understood card no). I tested item before attempting to fit and proved it was faulty. Sent Jap Parts an email with short video explaining what test had failed but nothing heard back then, out of the blue another week+ later, a parcel arrived containing another part. I have fully tested it OK so I am confident it will work when I fit it. I had to do a temporary bodge job to temporarily get my car back on the road!”
“I had to offers of the spare wheel I needed. When I went to the 1st Choice website only the more expensive product was available for me to purchase online !!! So I had to ring French Spares Ltd to place my order. They were excellent. Product arrived the next day I will use them again.”

“No problem with the service at all up to the point of receiving the engine. The price seemed fair and delivery was prompt. However, at no point during the purchase was I told that if I didn't need it and wanted to return it there would be a 30% surcharge, so when it turned out I didn't need it I was faced with losing a lot of money to send it back. The bloke I spoke to said they weren't required to explain terms and conditions over the phone and that they were all in the paperwork that came with the engine, but it's a bit late once you've bought it. Just be wary of this.”

“First choice was very quick in responding to my request, gave me a few people to contact, which I did, ended up buying a engine from The Engine Company for £1500 pounds, which arrived in around 4days, some items on the engine were missing or broken, was very disappointed with this, as nothing was mentioned at the time of purchase, then I find out The Engine Company, went into liquidation some time ago, why has 1st choice got them on the books, if they are not an up and running company.”
