“Having scoured the local supermarkets and butchers for tasty, well-grown meat, and been somewhat disappointed, it was such a treat to taste Swaledale Butcher’s meat for the first time. Definitely a class above the rest. Both the aromatic slow-cooked shoulder of pork and the soup made with lamb bones were exceptional! Waiting to try the chicken. “Good and efficient but like all butchers they tend to cut off too much of the fat which is where the flavour comes from. Ifyou are going to cut the fat off you may as well have lamb which is less expensive. Presentation and delivery very good.”

“The produce looks great, however, the delivery was less than satisfactory. I had put a notice on the door to deliver next door as arranged with the neighbour, as I needed to get my husband to the A&E URGENTLY. When I came back several hours later the boxes had been put in plain sight for everyone in the sunshine at the front door, with the notice still attached to the door. So a) anyone could have stolen them as we live on a main road b) we could have been broken into with the notice still on the door. c) the ice packs were molten, so the produce could have been spoilt and the boxes were soggy.”

“First time ordering from Swaledale butchers. I was a regular of Farmisons, and as they have closed I had to find somewhere else to shop. I am delighted to say that the meat from Swaledale is excellent and I am so happy. I hate buying meat from supermarkets. I have already completed my second order. Thank you so much for providing quality meat.”
