“Every single item is brilliant. We griddled some mutton chops on Saturday after marinating them in some olive oil and Turkish seasoning. They were so delicious that my husband says he will just season the next lot with salt and pepper so that we get the full mutton taste. The chicken crown was so good it will be our Christmas bird.”

“I ordered a smoking brisket with the intention of smoking it (imagine that). It comes a bit more trimmed than I would have liked with quite a bit of the point fat removed. The mohawk, deckle and the fat side of the flat were mostly exposed or completely removed. This is not a BAD thing, necessarily, but if you're looking to do a traditional Texas or North American smoke, you might want a bit more fat left on the point so you can trim it the way you want it. That all being said, the brisket came out great. The quality of the meat was excellent - quite lean, but not so lean that you have no intramuscular fat. This is more due to the fact that it is grass fed and not grain finished as you will find on North American beef. I would buy again. I may call ahead and see if I can get a bit more fat left on the cut.”

“Swaledale provide excellent meat which is free range where the animals roam freely leading a natural life and not cooped up in the intensive farming industry.,therefore providing succulent,flavoursome quality meat,offering a wide range of meat,with some cuts reminding me of my childhood being of a certain age lol. Also their website is very informative with recipes provided.would strongly recommend.”

“I have had a few orders now, and the meat has always been first class. Only once have I had an issue. I contacted Swaledale via email after office hours, I was surprised to receive a call back that evening to discuss my issue. I was promised a call back the next day by one of the head butchers and this happened early in the morning, my concern was taken seriously and dealt with quickly and professionally. It turned out my concern was due to my own lack of knowledge. Great response, Great service and fantastic meat.”
