“Exceptional service! We had a problem with our Christmas delivery, entirely outside of Swaledales control and the team went out of their way to make sure it arrived with us in time. Exceptional service and as always, exceptional meat! Thank you!”

“Bought a very expensive capon for Christmas dinner , came with a use by date of the 25 th December, not helpful if you want to eat leftovers beyond this day. The whole idea of using a butcher like this is to make Christmas easier and to get a better product and service than you would get in a supermarket not make it more difficult and make me have to go out and buy a bird from an alternative source. Very disappointing.”

Hi Nick, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. You emailed us with some concern regarding the use-by date of your Christmas Cockerel. We provided full clarification regarding the safety of the product and explained the bird was from the same stock that had been reared specifically for Christmas for all of our customers. That you were left with any uncertainty is very unfortunate, however we maintain that your Christmas Cockerel was of the highest quality and posed no risk to health whatsoever as had been your concern. “Delivery finally arrived after we collected from another address in Church Street! No address can be found by delivery driver if it only has a street name on the label and his documents. Even though you were notified and DPD were notified of missing house name prior to delivery nothing was on the delivery driver’s docket!”
