“Meat delivered was as always of a fantastic standard, only complaint would be the Slap & Pickle burgers started to brown after only a day, bag opened and remaining burgers transferred to a sealed container went to cook the remaining burgers the day after and they had begun to brown around the edges unfortunately, were still very much edible and tasted as good as the fresher burgers the day prior but was just unfortunate as I'd only recieved them 2 days prior.”

“I hesitated before paying almost £20 for a chicken but it was delicious and made 6 good sized meals. Still to cook the rolled pork shoulder and minced beef. Made minced lamb shepherds pie. Rendered the minced beef fat ( first time!). All in all excellent standard from swaledale. Thank you”

“The meats was delivered on time and seemed good quality product. However, it was packed in a box with 2 ice/gel packs, which were almost melted at it was 26c on that day (I think the should have packed it a bit better given the heatwave. Also, DPD was intructed to leave the box at the the back of the property, under the child's slide, so as to avoid sun shining on it in case we were out. The driver, however, just dumped or thrown it at the front gate, whichbwas never opened and damaged the box! we were in and the man didn't even knock at the door. Only when we got the text message 10 minutes later did we knew it was there! Thankfully, the meat all seemed ok, but it fell at room temperature to the touch, so any longer or if we weren't in, it could have gone off. We frozed all of it except 2 sterloin stakes, which were nice. Not sure if I will order again, as I feel the delivery experience was bad and the product coud have been packed better as explained. I will now go to the local farmer instead. I tried complaining to DPD, but the ake it very difficult, so gave up. all I could do was give the courier 2 starts! I think Swaledale Butchers shoud get in touch with them.”
