Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

We totally agree with this; this why we've refused telephone systems which make our clients press 1 for this or 2 for that. With us, you'll always get directed to a private client advisor who'll be on hand to help.

“Friendly personal service from the outset. Excellent assessment of my needs, and a very quick response with an excellent quote which was fully explained. Any wrinkles were quickly ironed out and I was confident enough to make a change after 23 years with my previous broker. I can fully recommend.”

“I was getting very frustrated with unrealistic quotes on line and from other brokers. I spoke to Declan at Stanhope, and he worked very hard on getting a home insurance quote for my listed building. Within a week, I was with a new insurer with better terms and a saving of £1,500! A highly recommended company!”

“I would definitely recommend Stanhope Insurance for any specialized collections you wish to insure. They were very pro-active, pleasant and approachable to deal with. Premium was reasonable to. Easy forms to fill in not too complicated. I dealt with Emily Phillips who could not have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble. Thank you”

“Our main point of contact is Jonathan Travers. He is incredibly proactive and responsive, and more often than not goes well above and beyond what is asked of him. He is almost certainly our Single Family Office's most efficent counterparty. He provides sound, impartial advice, and is patient when explaining insurance products/policies to someone who is not an expert.”
