Stanhope is a leading provider of niche and specialist insurance to the UK home insurance market. We focus on providing solutions that fit outside the standard UK home insurance norms. This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“Not only did April, from Stanhope, answer all my questions, she sorted the lowest quote I'd had for my thatched house, in a few hours. And all down with a warm smile.”

“Didn't get the policy e-mailed to me on the day but was sent next day after giving them a call were I spoke to a UK office not a foreign call center with people I can't understand.”

“I had been with a previous insurance broker for a thatched property for many years without any claims being made. Renewal premium this year was excessive so I looked around for an alternative. I came across Stanhope and spoke to a highly professional, helpful and generally lovely person (H). She spent valued time with me asking relevant questions so that she could source the most appropriate and competitive quotation. A couple of hours later she called back with a great offer which I gladly accepted. The policy is now active. Brilliant service.”

“I found the information provided was very comprehensive and suited our needs showing that previously we were underinsured which is now not the case. The quotation was competitive and your representative was able to negotiate some issues with the underwriters.”

“I had fantastic service from Ryan to help organise a renovation Insurance at very short notice. Having dealt with a few other brokers to organise the same, I was hit with brick walls or spent my day chasing them up. Stanhope and Ryan were different class though and had insurance in place the very next morning with no fuss and total professionalism. I would highly recommend, particularly if you are renovating and standard insurance won’t cover.”
