This could be an expensive item of jewellery, a property that is thatched or a home that is undergoing renovation works.

If you can’t find the solution through standard insurance platforms, then you will most likely have come to us as your next port of call.

Stanhope provides customers with highly personalised insurance products that their specific and specialist circumstances require. We will insure valuable items of jewellery whilst you are living away from home because your house, which has subsidence (which we are also insuring), is undergoing renovation works!

We are dedicated to providing exceptional levels of customer service and want all our customers to know that they have the right insurance policy in place at the right price, for their specific set of circumstances.

“I paid to cover a recent watch purchase using their online application. The payment was taken from my bank account immediately. However, the cover was later declined after I sent them a copy of my purchase receipt. This due to part of the payment for my watch was made in cash! I understand that cash is still a legal form of payment in the UK. Their stance is very suspect. Now, they advise that my refund will take thirty days. I can't recommend this insurer.”

Sadly, we cannot cover a watch on a stand alone policy when purchased using cash (we can do on a high value home insurance policy). There are many reasons for this and I’d be happy to personally explain those on the phone. Matthew Ashton, Director.

“We needed specialist high value thatch insurance. i contacted Stanhope who responded immedialely. They filled in an application form at our dictation and remained in regular contact. They were able to find us a suitable insurer at a perfectly reasonable price. We cannot thank those who dealt with us enough. We shall always approach them first for any future insurance needs we might have. We are also very impressed by the Stanhope Portal which securely stores all our documents and policies.”
