“Order processing and speed of delivery was good, however runner was not suitable as it did not grip the carpet and continually moved and curled up. Will be returned for refund.”

“Excellent product, just what I wanted. The ordering experience however was less than satisfactory. I selected my product and commenced the order and payment. The website went into UK pounds with an unacceptable shipping amount, not to mention the exchange rates offered by PayPal. I then cancelled the transaction and looked again at other vendors. I could not find a product as suitable so I returned next day to the website and obtained payment in $AU, free shipping and the promised 10% discount. Confirmation went smoothly except that the promised tracking number was not provided. Customer support responded promptly but took two attempts to get the number right. Fine product, contact free delivery, but the processes need attention.”

“The runner and stair rods are really good. The problem that I had was the underlay that I ordered. On the website it says for 14 stairs including the gripper. I also phoned them because I want to make sure before I order. They confirmed it was for good for 14 stairs and it comes in a pack. So I ordered altogether as a next day delivery which is an extra charge, it didn’t come on time until I follow up and they said that there is a problem in the website, it shouldn’t allow you to put on next day delivery because they don’t have stock for rods. We hired someone to fit the runner, we also showed him the video on the website how to fit the underlay, the runner and the rods but the underlay was not enough. The 14 stair sets of underlay was not enough for our 13stairs, actually 2 more steps is missing so we need to go and find additional underlay. The other thing is the gripper that they sent was also not enough. On the video you can cut it into two with the correct measurement against the runner, the one that delivered to us can’t split into half because the whole is just 80cm and the runner that we ordered is 60cm it need at least 58cm and 2 grippers each stairs. Don’t get the underlay as you can find a better underlay and gripper from other shops and much cheaper. The runner and stair rods are really good apart from they are not really made to measure. The measurements are available in their website so it is also limited if you stairs is a bit small. The other thing is the sample, you have to pay for £13 for a sample which limits your option to choose. Maybe make them smaller and make them a reasonable price for a sample.”

“The only complaint I have is that the colors shown in the advertisement do not accurately reflect the colors of the actual rug. The colors in the advertisement are more muted & are a darker color. The actual colors are brighter with more of a tourquoise color. The rug is well-made & looks lovely in the hallway, but the blue doesn't match the blue in my wallhanging, which was one of the reasons I specifically chose it.”

“Pleasant people on the phone but took an hour to sort out the tiney 5% discount. I probably spent more on the international mobile calls than I saved on the discount. Wouldn't do it again.too much hassle . Nice carpets though.”

“Nothing wrong with Carpet Runners. The product was great. BUT your delivery company was awful (DPD). They said it would be delivered on Thursday 8th Feb and would give me an hour time slot after 11 am. I waited in but nothing happened. I had to go to a meeting on Friday (9 - 1230) so I hoped it would not be delivered then. I checked my emails and they said they would deliver between 1015 and 1115. I made my apologies and drove home. I looked at DPDs tracking map which told me that the van was 15 mins away in a neighbouring road and I would be next. It didn't happen, the van drove all over the area and away from me. It was eventually delivered at 430 in the afternoon when I was out, So much for DPDs all singing 'NEVER MISS A DELIVERY AGAIN' tracking site. Would I buy from you again? Not if you use DPD. I would rather have had a 'within the next few days' projected delivery than the precise 1 hour slot which their drivers don't seem to be aware of. Brian Ayres”

“Site would not store my basket, had to reorder each time I visited the site. Got an email giving me a discount if I placed the order, but the site would not apply the discount. Got an email saying that the discount would be applied at their end. Never happened.”

“I recently ordered 18 feet of hall carpet runner from Carpet Runners UK on line. The product was in stock when I ordered it late evening and I subsequently paid for "next day delivery". Unfortunately, overnight the product went "out of stock" before they could honour my order. This was annoying as I had already received an email stating that my order had been passed to the courier for delivery. When I enquired why my order was not being fulfilled as agreed I was told by Ben, Customer Services Manager, that a corporate client had order a large quantity of the runner that I had ordered which had left them out of stock. To be honest I was also annoyed at that statement as it would appear to me that my previously confirmed order was cancelled so that they could meet the needs of another customer, albeit probably they were an existing customer with a more lucrative order. I advised the company to cancel my order as I would not be available to take delivery on the rescheduled date - to be fair to Ben he sincerely apologised and offered to give a 15% reduction as well as refund the delivery cost and arrange for a guaranteed "Next Day Delivery" courier at no additional cost when the product was back in stock - I declined this offer as I would not be at the property to take delivery. So, while initially disappointed at the failure to honour my order I was happy at the offer to satisfy me as well as the speed of refund once I declined the offer. Would I use this company again - yes I would, however, I would talk to Ben first to ensure my order was able to be fulfilled. Finishing on a positive note Ben showed a real commitment to both trying to satisfy me as well as trying to maintain a positive outcome for future business.”

“Purchased a runner to protect my hall carpet. Unfortunately it kept on moving so purchased the 'anti slip' runner to keep rug in place. What a complete waste of money. After a week of constantly straightening out the rug finally gave in and took the anti slip runner up and put it in the bin........Hall runner is now rolled up and living in the hall cupboard.”

“Nice colours and quick delivery. A large number of jute fibre strands present on runner which doesn't give a great finish as it always looks like it needs vacuuming. These are not lose fibres, but are still attached to the actual runner so don't come off when vacuuming.Was expecting a better finish to the runner without these numerous lose strands, hence the less than perfect score. Not so I pups use again as a result as quality not exceptional.”

“The company were fine, but the runner we bought was not the colour shown in the pictures online. I know there is an argument that different computers show colours differently and not necessarily true to the original. However, the same computer, at the same time, showed the same carpet from other companies with true colour representation. It was this poor colour representation that actually made us buy the carpet from carpet runners-we wanted the 'duck egg blue' stripes shown in their 'strike blue' runner pictures, not the very bright colour we received, and that is shown in other companies' adverts. I think the photography needs to be redone, or at least colour fixed to show true colours.”
