Hi Marco, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. This particular stair carpet is made using 100% sisal. Sisal is one of, if not the toughest natural fibers that exist in carpets. Sisal is very popular with interior designers for its sculptured basketweave-like texture. The 'Morocco' range is manufactured using a 'flatweave' technique, which ensures that the rug will not fray over time. As a result, a finished or bound edge is not necessary for this particular rug. Occasionally when this product is prepared and cut in the warehouse, there can be some excess threads of sisal left along the cut edge. (This is generally just what has been cut off). I can safely assure you, that this is in no way fraying or pulling. However, if you'd like to contact us directly to provide us with an image, we can certainly look at it for you. “runner rugs are perfect for limiting wear on wood floors in kitchens and high traffic areas.i especially like the no slip,no leak through latex backing.great for spills in the kitchen.when i saw the new southwest theme runner i knew it was perfect for my home.it looks better than the online image.run rug service is excellent and rugs are very fairly priced.more southwest themed rugs would be appreciated.i would be a buyer.”
