About Mountain Dog:

Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 300,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, ChuckIt! and more.

“I have bought 2 Hurtta harnesses and a leash. All are excellent quality, my big dogs are very comfortable wearing the harness out walking. Service provided was excellent including a very easy exchange for a bigger size.”

“This is a really nice carrier and comfortable to wear. It is well made, using quality materials, sturdy and suitable for small to medium size dogs. My dog soon got used to being carried and settled in the carrier when out for walks. It is equally as useful as an ordinary rucksack with plenty of space inside for hiking clothes and dog walking necessities. I am really pleased with my purchase.”

“Well designed perfect fit winter coat. Delighted with the quality of material. Fit for purpose. Waterproof and warm. Nice little features like the flap at the lead connection to prevent water entry, and the thigh length material to keep extra cosy on cold days. Wish I’d discovered a few years earlier!”

“Great item and fast delivery, my rescue Patterdale is very reactive to other dogs so useful to have lead which is secure and shorter. I have be using with Ruffwear harness which I had from Mountain Dog, two of them together are making him easier to control.😊”

“The front range harness I bought for my 7 month old schnauzer is brilliant. Despite puppy classes and a concerted effort to try to get her not to pull nothing seemed to work. This harness has transformed our walks. The only drawback is it can come off if the dog pulls backwards violently as happened when she met some electric fencing. However I have now attached a carabiner which connects her collar to the harness which I think has solved that problem. Definitely recommend.”

Good workaround, that fence doesn't sound great. With a single strap harness some dogs work out that by putting the brakes on the harness will slip over the head, it's not usual but it can happen. Worth looking at the harnesses with two belly straps like the Flagline too.
