Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

Based in beautiful Northumberland our business sells on-line and at major dog events throughout the country such as Crufts.

“Great company to deal with - have a Frenchie-Patt so difficult to gauge size, first coat was too large, no fuss exchange and we are thrilled with the perfect fit replacement. Also the coat is made fully from recycled materials a huge plus !”

“Brilliant purchase. Our golden retriever who is riddled with arthritis is very happy with her new ramp. Her old one was flimsy and she needed a lot of encouragement to use it, but as you can see from the video, thanks to pet safe and Mountain dog she can now walk along it on her own. It’s easy to use, lightweight and easy to transport. We thoroughly recommend this ramp”

“I have been happy with all my purchases from Mountain Dog, including my bicycle dog carrier, my dog lead belt and leads. I haven’t used the dog carrier yet but it’s all assembled now and ready to go. It looks really good and well made.🤞”

“I had to return the jacket as it was to big. The staff were very efficient in sorting out the return, refunding and sending me out an alternative. Great service, I would definitely use mountain dog again.”

“Ruffwear harness - great quality and very easy to size and fit to your dog. Since wearing this harness the dog seems much better behaved on the extending lead compared to a standard collar.”

Thank you for the kind review. Our free P&P comes in at £40 which is very competitive compared to other partners. The challenge is that we spend many thousands of pounds per month on free carriage but it's a balance between having good service (people to attend to issues) and offering such a one time benefit. Your feedback is heard and will be considered as we calibrate our offering - thank you.

“The website says expert advice, I rang customer services and spoke to a woman who had little knowledge of the dog coats and was hopeless on advice. Prices even on Black Friday not really competitive. Website description of items not really helpful information. Not keen to order again from Mountain Dog.”

“This is a small device which I have fitted to the side of my puppy’s harness. It does the job of alerting people and drivers to her, from a distance. Ideally one fitted each side of the harness would work better. The device is good value but I’m not sure that it will be very long lasting as it feels a bit fragile.”

Hello Emma, thanks for the review. The front range harness is one of our best sellers! Sometimes we do find that some dogs do hover in between sizes, with the front range there are four points of adjustment to get the best optimum fit allowing room for growth if needs be.
