“Very nicely made and will create a good loft opening. It's a shame that the hatch is not designed to be removed from it's frame as it would be much easier to fit the frame first to the ceiling aperture and then attach the hatch. My ceiling is 2.5m above floor level so the 'free' closing pole is too short for my wife to use easily. Would have willingly paid for one 15cm longer but will now have to source a 1m length of 12mm square tube to modify the pole supplied.”

“Easy order process online - next day delivery. Only had a minor niggle - details for the loft hatch said that a pole could be found in the accessories section of the website. However, there are no poles listed anywhere on the website!”

“Well made & insulated hatch - fitted exactly and pretty easy to install, good packaging ensured it arrived in perfect condition. Good fit & finish means it looks a whole lot better than my heavy old wooden hatch and much better insulated. Latch is a bit crude but does the job”

“It's a solid frame and door, yet to be skimmed. I would have liked it to hold up the door on its own without the need for it to be locked. I would also have liked more air and intumescent seals around the whole door frame as this went onto a communal pipe box which is blustery.”

“I found what I wanted with easy and at a good price. When I went looking locally I could not find the size I needed and was told that no one made one the size I needed so would have to make do. When I found this site I found you can get any size you want and even made to measure. Take it from me this is the site to use.”

“Prompt and very efficient service. Arrived when it was supposed to. Tidy looking and profesionaly made. Only drrawbac if any, is the fact that you have to drill holes to mount it yourself. Small screw covers may improve look. Other than that -Excellent !”

“Ordered slim bespoke size access panel and it arrived within the time given. Panel looks good! One of the corner joins looks a bit grey, like it?s partially painted, but it?s an access panel and you?d have to really look to notice that. My only niggle/feedback is it?d be good to be able to confirm all specifications once the item is in the basket. For example, I thought I ordered the door to hinge on long side, but it must have reset half way to say to hinge on short side. I should have picked it up when I checked the invoice & asked to change it, but I just assumed all is as I specified on the original form. Oh well...”

“The product itself appears to be first class but I have not fitted it yet.Two minor issues, I did not receive an email to indicate despatch. The second is the foam packaging disintegrated easily showering plastic globules everywhere. Should have unwrapped it outdoors. I repeat general service and product quality appears to be excellent”

“My original hatch had a pvc frame and a pvc hatch lid that you had to push into the loft to gain entry. It was a real pain and I wanted a good metal alternative. Unfortunately my hatch opening didn?t match any stock sizes and I didn?t want the hassle of building out the existing frame. The bespoke hatch I got made by Jupitor Blue fitted perfectly and the whole job was completed in 30 minutes. Only niggles were the operating pole, which came slightly bent as it had been packed outside the polystyrene packed hatch and only had the outer cardboard for protection. I suggest this should be bubble wrapped at least to prevent this sort of transit damage. The locking mechanism catch also slightly touched the wooden joist as it was a fraction long but I quickest rectified this by rebating a small notch in the joist by drilling a series of small holes. Other than these niggles it is a well made hatch. I would recommend any diy fitters do what I did and buy 2 x 12? clamps to hold the frame in situ so you can screw the hatching place securely. The clamps I got from screwfix had plastic jaws and for only ?6.30 each held the frame securely without marking it whilst I fixed all the screws in place. All in all this was a good hatch to buy”

“Product (loft hatch) arrived well ahead of predicted date, well-packaged and in good condition (one small transit ding to the insulation on the hatch, but nothing worth complaining about). As a DIYer, about the only point I feel could have been better is that no installation instructions were included. Web video was useful, but one point in particular could have done to have been stressed. And I had to go back to the product details on the website to verify the correct opening size to construct. Actual installation was easy enough, but I hit a problem that I had to figure out for myself, with a couple of the screws initially fouling the hatch and preventing it opening once closed. There's nothing unreasonable in that; if I can't figure something out, I probably shouldn't be doing it. But it could simply have been just that bit better. I'm going to need to add a ladder at some point, but I must admit I'm a little nervous at the idea of possibly having to figure the installation details out for myself again.”
