I have a Trek Marlin and I ordered mine back in early 22 and due to Covid lockdown in China orders were somewhat delayed so it arrived several months late, unfortunately this wasn't communicated without prompting, which was a bit of a annoyance. It was due in June and I received it in November. The kit its self was easy to put together and the instructions are fairly simple. I had to buy a new disk brake because the other wouldn't release off the wheel. It took me about 2hours to build, but that's mainly because I had to keep rechecking the instructions. I ordered the booster switch however because my frame is not round or straight makes finding a place to attach it is difficult. As is securing the battery mount. But it's attached that's what matters. Using it, especially with the nice weather, is quite nice. But the Range (I bought the XL pack) is stretching the definition. It boils down to riding style. Size of the wheels (I have a 28"), level ground and the power level. Even at the lowest assist level I might get 2 days travel and that's 12 miles on a single charge, bit of a far cry from the 25+ miles claimed. Perhaps others would have a better result with smaller wheel base. I found that I was having to get creative when cycling especially on day 2. I have it on a low power when I'm cycling, press down once more so its not using any going down hill. Turn it up too 4 when setting off from traffic lights before turning it down when at speed, and 3 on hills. It's no wonder they suggest a second pack or a spare charging cable for the 'Office'. It wouldn't work for me unless they came up for a way for me to charge from a 12v power socket on the vehicle and I don't fancy buying another battery until I need too. Worth the £600 I paid? Meh, while cheaper than a ready built, it needs more work on the battery capacity. However it does the job of moving the weight of my Bike and my sorry carcass along the road so Im not going to argue too much.

Incomplete delivery, low autonomy and bad times of the support I paid more than 1000 Euros for the max version of this kit by taking all the options for my Brompton and paying more to be delivered faster, on arrival the delay was very long with a deposit on September 14, 2022 and delivery mid-May 2023. No courier informed me of the delivery and it arrived while I was on vacation, fortunately I had given the address of my company for delivery, the disadvantage is that I lost the 15-day period that allows to cancel the order. the delivery arrived incomplete with the Brompton Block absent. About this I had two different responses from support, the first told me that there was no trace of my order of this block, so I sent a screenshot of my order and the second response to talk about a quality problem that had to be fixed to meet the quality standards of Swytchbike and that I will receive later the Brompton Block. Having already assembled a kit of another brand the assembly was done without difficulty and it is true that its design is rather well done and that if you are lucky this kit can be very pleasant, but with so many unfavorable opinions it is really a lottery and in my case I lost. In operation I saw that the battery planned for 30 km in normal assistance and 39 km with the minimum assistance which is the one I use never reached 20 km on flat terrain with the assistance at least despite my weight in the average (81 kg) and a bike under 18 kg. In addition the led display integrated into the battery indicating the level of charge does not work properly, even emptied to the maximum the battery always 3 LEDs of lit which suggests a charge to 60%. After many exchanges on these problems where I gave and repeated the same information to different interlocutors, the after-sales service considered that the battery had no problem despite performance almost 50% lower plus a defective charge display and allowed itself authority to close the ticket. If this kit is not defective, the announced autonomy is really exaggerated, I had planned to equip my wife's bike with this kit, for sure I will never do, this brand is to flee absolutely, I consider that I was fooled by more than 1000 euros and that I will not let pass.

I ordered a kit. It arrived 2 months late and after I had to send a legal letter of demand. I then asked to return the kit. I didn’t get a response for a month even though you only have 2 weeks to return. I have arranged 3 separate days for them to collect this over the course of 2 months. They have failed to show up each time so I now have a lot I do not want and I do not have a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS EVER.

Great piece of kit utterly disgraceful customer service. My kit requires one more part, not known at time of order and there is no way of contacting swytchbike. There is no customer service number. There is no interactive chat line. You can only follow a preset list of responses which eventually loop back to the start. There are no humans to contact. Does anyone have a telephone number or email which will go to a human? I have had my kit now for 4 weeks (took 6 months to get) and cannot do anything with it. Cannot even buy the part I want as an accessory because it isn’t listed as an accessory and I can’t talk to a human. Don’t waste your money. If this is the future of AI God help us !

I ordered my swytch bike kit in September 2022. It is now June 2023 and I have not received my swytch bike kit. They have excuse after excuse as to why I’m not receiving it, but at this point I just want a refund! If you live in the US, I recommend you not order from this company. I hope I get my money back. It was almost $800 that I am out of because I don’t think I’m ever going to receive my swytch kit. Do not order from these people!

I have two Bulls Ebikes with Bosch systems for the wife and I to tour around together, but I still like the freedom and feel of my road bike experience. Now that I am 69 it has been the perfect reuse of my trusty 2013 Trek 1.2 bike with a quick release fork and conventional crank and internal bearings. It was an easy install per the good, provided instructions and with great customer service here in the US for a few technical questions and ordering an extra battery. Responses were always within one day given the time difference. I think it’s the best Ebike conversion around and a great value to add to a decent framerset. I think it basically performs about as good as a $4,000 Scott Addict with a Mahle X35 250w rear hub motor. With some good peddling effort and good gears, the lowest assist level helps get me up my 1000’ climbs with great battery range with no-power descents, and it still feels like my same bike with no noticeable motor resistance. Maybe I would like a fully integrated electric assist road bike someday, but for now it is all I need to keep on riding. I have a few other bikes, and friend’s bikes to Swytch. Thanks

Kit was good. Fairly easy to fit to my Trek comfort bike once two minor problems were resolved. One problem was the cadence sensor was impossible to mount on my Trek's strong frame. I had to use my modelling skills to make a substitute mounting bracket. Another issue was that the motor wheel supplied had a metric spindle while my US bought Trek appeared to have an English units fork slot. Easily solved with a flat file in minutes. Extremely pleased with the performance of the motor and battery. I live half way up a steep hill so the upgrade makes my cycling so much easier.

Swytch have looked after me extremely well as a customer almost from day 1 (ordered September 2022) - I say almost because initially I had some issues with payment (card not being accepted) that was quite frustrating and it took them a while to respond because it was in the middle of their new product launch. A simple live chat would have sorted it but they were unavailable. A day later I was able to get support by email - fortunately they were able to honor the original discount price even though it had since sold out due to high demand, hence the frustration at my original payment not going through. But all was forgiven as I got the 60% discount the next day, which was available for delivery in January. Eventually the kit was delivered in February after many order updates which were relatively helpful and explained the short delay. But of course all I really wanted was to get notified when it would arrive! Eventually I did and recieved a UPS tracking number and the kit arrived shortly afterwards. I have absolutely no complaints about the product itself, it has worked as expected right from the start - fitting was simple, using it on a daily basis now feels like second nature and the small size and portability of the new battery is unlike any other eBike I've seen and very handy. The power is just the same as most other eBikes I've used which is impressive because of how small the battery is Definitely would recommend to others looking for a good affordable eBike option, and I regularly do!

I would like to give different aspects of the Swytch wheel different stars. Overall it gets a 5 star with me. The wait time of getting the wheel is a 3 star because it took almost a year to get it. However, it's a start up company so I understand there are issues. They did a pretty good job communicating the set backs and wait time. 4.5 stars for their customer service. I had to communicate with them several times at the time of purchase and after receiving my wheel. My first communications were extremely fast. It was really impressive. The latest communications were a little slower but for a start up that had just sent out a huge batch of product, they did a pretty good job and took care of my issue accurately and to my satisfaction. The price, I would give 4 stars for the current price but 6 stars for what I paid for, since I jumped onboard early, on I got a great price. The wheel itself I would give a 7 star rating. I love this thing. It was fairly easy to install. I had a few issues cause my bike has a few places that are not the size they designed for. I couldn't use the brake sensors but I found they don't really matter. Once I got it all working, it was like a breath of fresh air. My bike is over 11 years old with thousands of miles on it. It just isn't as fast as it used to be. The Swytch wheel has changed everything. I love this thing. I like to commute to work, about 10.5 miles, and the last two miles are up hill. I used to get to work exhausted. Now, I get to work almost ten minutes faster, still feel I got a great work out, and feel great! I don't feel like laying down under my desk all morning. It really has changed my biking commute in ways I didn't think possible. So glad I didn't have to spend a thousand plus dollars to get a new bike. Thank you Swytch team!

I ordered my Brompton Swytch kit in September, 2022 and it was then promised for March 2023. End of February 2023, I got the message that delivery would be done in two weeks. We are now May, 30 and I still haven't received anything, except for false (lying) promises or information from Swytch with excuses, excuses and ... excuses. But no precise information on whether or when my kit will be delivered. This is definitely the worst Customer Service experience I ever had for material of this price.

Four months ago, I placed a pre-order for a Swytch Kit, paying a $200 USD fully refundable deposit to secure my spot in production. After making this payment, I received an invitation to complete my full order and pay the remaining balance of $400 USD. Unfortunately, my financial situation changed, and I could no longer afford the remainder of the payment. I am a student living on a month-to-month paycheck, so every dollar counts. I reached out to SwytchBike via email, as they do not provide a support phone line, and requested a refund of my $200 USD deposit. To my utter disappointment, SwytchBike chose to ignore my emails, even though they supposedly have a refund policy in place. I felt ignored and taken advantage of, especially when they were so quick to take my money initially. It is astonishing to me that a company would be so responsive when it comes to placing an order but chooses to neglect customers once they have your money. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and it truly saddens me because I put my trust in SwytchBike. As a customer who was once excited to try their product, I now have no desire to order a Swytch kit in the future. This entire ordeal with SwytchBike has not only led to financial stress but also disappointment in a company that I once trusted. I sincerely hope that no one else has to go through such a negative experience when all we want is to enjoy a new electric bike kit. It seems that SwytchBike is more concerned with making money than taking care of their customers.

Amazing video call service - I have never had such a fantastic and easy remote support from a company. They sent a video cal link by email which I was able to click on and easily do a video call with them on my phone - the person on the other end was very patient and carefully explained how to solve the problem I had with installation. I was able to put the phone on the side as I tried to follow the instructions, and they guided me through it and a few minutes later I had successfully fitted the wheel with the disc brake, which was the part i was stuck on. They followed up by email a short while after and I was able to confirm that it had been fitted OK So my review of the customer team is excellent, my review of the kit on my bike is top as well. I am the envy of everyone else in my elderly cycling club (it is just for fun not sport any more!) and I think there maybe be a few more orders coming your way!

One of the best eBike companies I have dealt with. Swytch's support staff are very knowledgeable when it comes to bikes in general, and of course about eBike motors and batteries. I had many questions before buying to convert my antique peugeot bicycle - all were answered quickly and accurately and I proceeded with the order. As I was watching the pennies I chose to wait longer for a lower price, I then promptly forgot about the Swytch unit entirely and 3 months later I had the pleasant surprise of being notified it was to be delivered the next day. Luckily I was in to receive the parcel! So that weekend I fitted the unit, everything was as it should be and it connected to the bike with ease and I have been riding it since. The power is incredible and the quality of the engineering is very high through out. 5 stars all round!

"I’m not happy. I’ve had an issue with the power level for sometime and have been asking for help to fix it… NOTHING… we are seniors trying to do our part to keep all the carbon off the roads. Please do something…"The power level keeps yo-yoing back and forth and doesn't connect to the battery. Should we just get rid of a horrible product or can this actually be fixed

The instructions on how to fit everything were clear. It works nicely and is discreet. The new battery is lighter and easier to mount/demount.

I now use my bike for journeys I would normally think "oh not today" and throughly enjoy the freedom and ease it provides. I can go into town and bring back quite heavy things that would otherwise have needed a car. It was fairly easy to fit to the bike (although I did get someone to do it for me!). I have the older version with a 2kg battery that is quite heavy and would love the smaller phone size battery that is now being sold. Other than the weight of carrying around my battery, as I wouldn't leave it on the bike when unattended, then it is perfect. Once you start pedalling it engages and you can use as little or as much battery power as you need.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the recent improvement in the response time from the Swytch team. So I am posting an updated review - previously I complained that they didn't respond for 2 days or more - but my last two contacts were replied to with good quality responses within 24 hours, helping me to get my kit working again so I can get back on the road quickly.

The delivery: obviously it was slightly longer than hoped, but they kept me up to date and I didn't plan to start cycling to work until May anyway so this was fine. The email communication was clear and regular. It described each step of the process from manufacturing to shipping etc. so I had a good idea when to expect it as it went along. I took delivery of the kit a few weeks ago, the packaging was totally recyclable. Then, installation was fairly easy and I didn't even need the manual. All in all it took me about hour and a half, but I think if I did it a second time it would be faster. I got a MAX kit and was converting a hybrid 7 gear speed bike. I was able to ride straight after charging as it just worked right away. The ride is really enjoyable with strong power, and it is very enjoyable. The weight on the handlebars did not really change the handling at all, the battery is very small but nevertheless I wondered about this aspect. It's helped me already up many climbs in north Sheffield, what a difference it makes! There are 5 power levels but only level 3 is required even on the steeper hills, 4 and 5 are really strong and I guess drain the battery quite quickly.

I recommend the Swytch package for Brompton as a very neat solution. I cannot speak for the other versions for other bikes, but I can certainly say that for Bromptons it fits very easily The overall weight added to the bike seems to be very minimal and it remains easy to carry, this was very important to me as I use it to commute and have to carry it to and from the train. The benefit of the electric power is better than expected, I had watched many videos and reviews before buying but not actually had an opportunity to test ride or try it in real life until riding it on my bike after installation. So for anyone else wondering before buying what it is like to ride, I can honestly say it is worth the wait for the incredible boost!
