“The Swytch kit has been transformational for me and my bike. I can't recommend the product or the team highly enough. Whenever I email a company and get an auto-reply of a ticket number, I usually expect to have to wait a great many days before any kind of reply is forthcoming... now I can't say that Swytch's replies have been exactly instant, but often the same day or occasionally the next day. With one instance where I had a query about an updated delivery date that took a few more days for them to reply, presumably as they had to think about it for a while before they could confirm the answer to that crucial question of exactly when will the kit arrive! Well the kit did arrive, more or less as expected, and I was prepared for a bit of a wait as it said the delivery would be within a 2 month range March to April at the time of ordering in October. After it was delivered is when the fun really started - I was pleased to see as well that it was all boxed in cardboard, not a shred of plastic packaging, so it all went in the recycling after unboxing which was a big plus for me. I booked a video call to assist with installation and would definitely recommend this option as having an expert walk you through made for very easy work. In terms of the riding experience, it is very smooth and the power is more than I would expect from such a small battery. I ride a Boardman bike which has limited electric options so I am quite confident that I now have one of the best Boardman eBikes around! Definitely would recommend taking the plunge and ordering a Swytch!”

“Relatively Light weight & portable solution to lugging heavier loads up hills … & economical too! Power surges can be a bit erratic when battery starts to run low but longer journeys possible with a bit of planning ( & a spare battery) 👍”

“Hi from Ontario, Canada! I am leaving this review hoping it may help any trikers. I bought Schwinn Meridian Adult Tricycle Bike and Swytch for my son but he did not like it. So, it ended up to be my commuter trike. Installation was easy and straight forward. My commute is around 5km one way. Since my trike is much heavier than a normal bike the battery needs charging in my office for return trip. Other than that I do not see any issue. You may go with a bigger battery if you are planning longer ride. I am uploading some of closeups to show you the installation. I hope it helps.”

“Very easy to install my order to and have recommended it to friends. I would go for the larger battery not the smallest. It's hard to use as a normal bike once installed because there's a lot of drag from the Dynamo but I don't know if this will get better overtime.”

“It was a relatively affordable way to turn the bike I loved into the e-bike I needed when my needs changed. In my case, I went from shuttling one kid to daycare everyday to two kids and thus from a bike seat to a trailer. The Swytch kit made the transition effortless and has also opened up more and longer bike trips for fun.”

“I am happy with it. I can use it when I think is nessesary. Plus point the bike is not heavy. For me it is not nesseary to buy a expensive e-bike. Super. I like to know what will cost a second battery systeem the one I have the bigger and first type. ?”

“I love my swytch kit. On my folding Tern it is probably now the lightest e folder in my town. The initial difficulty I had was sorted immediately by customer services. Excellent service and a fantastic ride.”

“Swytch bike has eliminated the hills and wind of New Zealand that makes biking a challenge. We are motivated to go out riding heaps more now knowing we can enjoy the thrill of riding without the pain of going up that one hill against the wind. We get to keep using our nice bikes that we love and are accustomed to but with the benefit of a little extra power when we need it. Also, we love having an extra battery when we want to go a little further. Only wished I had bought the bigger battery as my extra versus the smaller on.”

“I am happy with my Swytch Bikes but would like a bit more distance capability especially for climbing uphill where the distance capability on full power is not great. A light, easy to carry, spare attachment which could be fitted into the PRO Battery connector when the PRO battery becomes empty could be very useful to extend distance capability. Perhaps this will become possible as battery power development improves. Please keep me informed of any progress in this direction.”

“It's a great conversion kit that's pretty easy to set up (if you're comfortable working on bikes). I love how inconspicuous it is. The battery life isn't amazing, but it's pretty easy to pack a backup battery in your backpack (assuming you have purchased one) and switch out when you need to.”

“Love it, probably bit tricky to fit but my husband did it! Didn’t get the programming right at first and whilst the power came on to begin with it dropped off after a while, my husband sorted this by reading up on it and programmed in a smaller wheel than I have. Now it’s just brilliant, my bike looks like a ‘normal’ bike, battery sits at the front, in the basket, I only switch it on when I need it - hills, strong winds, but it makes me laugh with the joy of it and puts a smile on anyone’s face who tries it. Kit did take a bit of time to arrive but that’s fine and the price is well worth it as you don’t have to splash out thousands for a heavy, unattractive (most of them are) purpose built electric bike.”

“I am very happy with my Swytch . For the price that was a quarter of what I would spend on replacing my former ebike . The whole kit is of very good qualitiy . The riding expierance is just as good as a a good quality ebike . And I have the benifit of riding my old dutch bike now with a motor . I do not use the swtch for every jouney but it is a blessing on windy days and a great help when I tow my bicycle trailor. My only complaint was the courrier whole delievered the kit who's communication could have been better .”

“In January, I enjoyed greater stability navigating slush patches on the road with this 2 wheel drive! (Optional feet off the pedals is a great way to stay upright, too.) Now I travel in straighter lines, rather than skirting around hills, so my commute is shorter, and I arrive without the sweat previously required to accomplish the same speedy trip. Question: As the battery begins to drain, the motor seems to oppose my pedaling, which seems remedied if I switch the controller off. (The controller reads 1 bar at these times, but the battery indicator seldom goes below 3 lights.) What is causing this increased resistance?”

“It took a while to get my kit. The instructions were very straight forward even though I am not very mechanical minded. I misplaced a couple of parts only to find them later. In the mean time the support team was very helpful and was ready to ship out the missing parts. I was glad to find the parts and had time to tell them to cancel the shipment. Very happy with the performance. I have knee problems so the battery assist was very helpful on my old city bike. I only ride 10-20 km each time so the battery is more than sufficient (used up maybe 1 bar). I would be prepared to buy another kit for my road bike.”

“The new Air max kit is perfect for folding bikes. A fabulous bike now to nip into town. Personally I prefer the previous pro kit, (much better mileage) but the new battery is lighter and easy to remove to avoid theft. Customer service was excellent - can't fault it. I'll ride round the block just for the pleasure and smile it gives me.”
