The kit didn’t fit my Trek bike frame so tried it on another bike and now there seems to be wires broken in the front connector because we had to take it off and put it on different bikes. Disappointed as I haven’t used it at all!! It also took about 5 months to arrive.

Battery has never worked properly and it keeps cutting out. If it does actually work the the noise it makes is a horrible and makes everyone turn and stare at you and range is nowhere near what is advertised, maybe just 1/3rd. Riding your bike without help from the battery feels like having the brake slightly on so not a great experience trying to get home when it stops working . This is the same for both of the systems that I bought. Customer service just stopped responding to my messages so I'm left with 2 very expensive door stops and 2 fancy looking wheels hanging on my shed wall.

I never got my order delivered. It was frustrating having to wait 6 months and after various notifications that my kit was in transit, to be told that it cannot be delivered. I did get a full refund of what I paid, but I'd rather have had the kit instead...

I had the first generation kit, and it was AMAZING. After a few years, the battery needed to be upgraded, so I was forced to upgrade to the second generation kit and it has been awful. The range on the basic battery pack is tiny (I can get only about 7k before it starts cutting out and surging, which can be dangerous, despite claiming a 15k range). The customer service response to this was terrible and I would not recommend the Swytch kit after these recent experiences.

No bike repair shop in Amsterdam would fit the system to my bike so I spent over a grand on it but it’s just stayed in the cupboard for 2.5 years

Unfortunately neither of my bikes was compatible with the Swytch kit (it doesn't fit any bike like it says/ implies on the advert. On my old bike the distance between the forks was too narrow to accommodate the motor, on my newer bike they couldnt provide the correct size wheel and said I would need to either build the wheel myself or find a local bike shop to do it (my local bike shops declined as they did not feel comfortable using 3rd party parts to build an ebike wheel). In the end I bought an ebike from a different company

The ordering process is very complex and painfully long. It's also convoluted to get to speak to a person. The advice you get from SWYTCH is awful. I ordered a SWYTCH kit for my folding bike, only to find when it arrived it it was not compatible with disc brakes, even though the order system had allowed me to add an extra, "hydraulic disc brake sensors" to the order, there was no point in the process when either the system or a person realised something may be wrong with this order as due to the kit not being compatible with disc brakes, yet an order being places for disc brake sensors. At no point in the process was it made clear the folding bike kit would not be compatible with a disc brake bike, they advertise as being able to convert any bike into a SWYTCH bike, this is not the case. Disc brakes on folding bikes are a lot more common than rim brakes. The absurd advice from SWYTCH was to reach out to my local bike shop and simply have the brakes changed to rim brakes, which would be a major downgrade in brake quality. The first shop, wouldn't entertain this idea or anything related to SWYTCH bike, another quoted £500 for the change, and another required, £100 to even look at the bike and check if this change was possible, and not to mention this change would have invalidated any remaining warranty I had on my bike. I was left with no option but to request a full refund and return the kit that I'd been waiting 3 months for.

Very slow delivery. We're talking many months overdue. The thing eventually arrives and its a CHEAP e-bike kit. Useful for the first 1000km but then issues start arising. I've ridden this as my commuter on normal UK roads and I have found these problems. The motor makes a knocking noise which you don't get from better quality motors and the spokes of the wheel are built with CHEAP aluminium so they flex and bend and spoke nipples eventually come undone causing the wheel to become untrue. I have fixed this at my LBS multiple times but the only permanent solution is to have the whole wheel rebuilt with stronger materials which costs hundreds. The MAX Battery is acceptable range but wheel quality is terrible, all the extra's cost ridiculous amounts more which you don't find out until after paying your deposit. Basic "extra's" such as a display and black paint on the wheel to match the bike cost me an additional £130. Delivery is another £50. Save yourself money and buy a better quality product.

Disappointed with how long the swytch bike took to be initially delivered. Over 6 months with swytch having my money and delivery date changing several times. V frustrating. Battery life not as long as hoped only does 25 k max.

I bought a Swytch kit early on. It was great for a while but then the battery stopped working. I eventually got a replacement battery 16months ago. This week it is completely dead. I contacted the company and they sent me instructions on how to check that everything was connected inside the cover.. Everything was in place but the battery was dead. I have probably done under 300 miles on it, if that. I think it’s a hugely expensive kit and I have lost faith in the product (and company) despite recommending it to friends and neighbours many of whom have bought kits. I won’t be recommending it any more and a couple of people I know have also had problems.

Originally I was pleased with my swytch kit. I even bought a second one. However - the battery has now failed on my first kit after minimal use over 3 years. The solution swytch have given is spending a further £275 to upgrade to the new battery. This is despite a reassurance in the first place that offered a battery replacement service which has conveniently been forgotten. I think they knew the battery was limited in its lifetime and have abandoned their original customers. Really disappointed with their poor treatment of loyal customers.

Not all swytch's fault, my trike came from China and nobody I know is able to fit the sensor on the pedal for me. However I can still hope.

Battery life is terrible and the battery indicator does not match the output power level. Just use one set of LED like other E-Bikes. I have many friends who complain of the same issue.

These swytchd employees won’t respond to your query in time and even it takes days to answer and they won’t even tell you why they have deducted so much amount from your security deposit . Very bad customer experience and I prefer to go to other platforms to rent bike .

The axle is too big, they would not assist in anyway to fix the issue. Wanted US TO fix it, can't use the kit. We bought two what a waste. ABSOLUTELY terrible terrible service and misrepresentation.

I received set with 10mm axle. My bike has 9mm. I said i will return the kit. You said our engineering support will solve the problem and I was directed to the engineering support. Via many e mails they advised to do that and that. But it was impossible to install. Then I said i want to return the kit. You answered that it is not possible to do it cause more than 14 days have gone. Then i was told to wait until your new kit with 9mm shaft is ready and then I can swap my kit to that. I am still waiting...

Hi - trying to sort out currently - get 8.2 miles from a battery rated at 30km. They're trying to help but really - it should be obvious to them what the problem is. I can't even get all of the way to work - returning home is of course not possible.

I ordered the "Second Generation" Swytch system because the battery was smaller and supposedly could be installed vertically or horizontally. Apparently, there was a problem with the vertical attachment so Swytch went ahead and shipped the original horizontal attachment and promised to send the other as soon as the problem was corrected. We waited and wrote, waited and wrote, finally we were told to just install it with the original horizontal attachment BUT my wife's handlebar is already to full of stuff so there is no room. I wanted the vertical so I could get it install under her seat. Now we never hear back from Swytch when we write, we have never gotten the correct piece which, as I recall, we paid extra for and the whole system just sits in its original boxes taking up space.
