Easy to install and use. (Air) battery capacity is a little low (lasts about 90% of my commute!) But excellent for the "last mile" (or last 3 miles) from a train.

Having decided that this company was the one to use to enable me to transform our folding bicycles we firstly sent pictures and details of the bikes to them. They confirmed that their kits would fit them perfectly as would the seat post adapters. The battery holder does not fit the handlebars nor does the saddle tube adapter, it’s is too small to fit the tube. We upgraded to the led display and control panel but this is also a disappointment for to change down a power setting one has to completely cycle up the settings before it returns to a lower one, this is quite a distraction whilst cycling. On the plus side the motor is quiet and powerful and the battery appears to hold its charge well although we have yet to travel far enough to determine how powerful it really is in normal conditions. I can provide photographs of the above points should the company wish to follow this up but having already sent them photographs of the bikes in the first place I’m not sure they will study them in the detail required now that they have sold two kits that that they confirmed would be suitable.

I'm really impressed with the kit. I'm really happy with it and the quality is really good. Installation was quite straightforward and I made sure I had enough time to complete it without having to rush. That last bit sounds obvious, but don't give yourself half an hour as it'll go wrong! Have really enjoyed using it and it's very simple to use. The press of a button to give a boost as and when needed has really helped me enjoy biking even more. It's great when towing the kids in the trailer too!! A couple of bad points....the ordering and waiting for delivery was extremely annoying. it got delayed several times and ended up being delayed by 3 months. Customer service did let me know about delays, but were very vague about anything beyond that. I ordered the brake sensors and unfortunately they aren't compatible with my brake levers. After contacting customer services with pictures, they issued a refund immediately. Whilst that's great, I'd have preferred a solution - or an attempt at a solution - as opposed to "Oh sorry, here's a refund.". The wheel itself is quite heavy compared to the original bike wheel. Not a huge problem - and very understandable! - but something to be aware of. The price is now quite expensive, especially with what is now available on the market, however its ease of installation and the fact you can keep your own bike, just about justify the price. For what I've used it for so far (road biking, field/woodland riding) it's been excellent.

The Good: The actual product is really good quality - and I'm very happy with it. It's relatively straightforward to fit, and works really well. It's hard to spot that it's actually electric, which is part of the attraction for many. The not so good: The ordering and delivery was very lengthy, and got delayed several times - ended up taking many months. Customer service did let me know about delays, albeit the day before the delivery window expired, which was very frustrating. Price: It is one of the more expensive conversion kits, but I'd say it's just about justifies the price. Overall: If you are looking to do a simple electric bike conversion for light to moderate use, and you are not in a hurry, then I would recommend this kit.

I do a fairly flat 14 km commute (ie 7+7) every day. The swytch has just the right capacity to assist me during the trip. I like that it is lightweight and I can carry the battery on my rucksack or even on the pocket of my coat if I have to. On the negative side, I found the purchasing process to be a bit strange, because of the process of registering, pre-ordering, etc... and I wish it was easier to buy replacement parts. I'd happily buy an extra battery pack of a different size.

Hi - trying to sort out currently - get 8.2 miles from a battery rated at 30km. They're trying to help but really - it should be obvious to them what the problem is. I can't even get all of the way to work - returning home is of course not possible.

I have not used my bike a lot, but was very happy with the speed and control of the unit. One gripe is the 700 wheel left my original crossway tyre a sloppy fit & rim is smaller than the shimano original.

My wife's bike is old fashion, it has a sentimental but also material value, but it was difficult to ride due to its weight and the loss of gears, especially with the baby seat behind. Swytch system make possible to still ride it anywhere. The stuff was also very helpful and professional since it was just a project to fund until the shipping and installing moment.

Love my switch bike overall. The delivery process was lengthy but once I'd received it, it was easy enough to fit. The only downside is the LED display - it is janky and only has 1 button. This means that you have to scroll up to top speed in order to get to lower speeds. I would recommend spending a it more to get one of the displays that allows you to scroll up and down.

Overall delighted with our Swytch bike conversions... they have transformed two good quality mountain bikes, and more recently a third one, and made it a pleasure to cycle around one of really hilly parts of Dorset. And it's great to re-use existing bikes rather than scrap them to buy new electric bikes. But the process was not for the feinthearted.... We ordered 2 Gen 2 conversions, and they took ages and ages to come - months later than expected - and then we found we had to pay import duty... not a good start. And then we found the axles didn't fit in our forks, and had to file the axles. And because we had two units, were, by a process of elimination, able to identify the faulty component in the original kits, and had to wait another week for a replacement. And then I found that the motor wheel didn't quite fit in my forks - it was scraping the inside of the forks - but thankfully my work had a machine shop, where I was able to get some thin washers custom made to give just enough clearance. And then every few months, the handle-bar brackets go intermittent and then die (I don't think they are up to regular long climbs up steep hills on full power) And then one day my forks broke from the strain (not the bike that needed the custom washers), and I had to have new forks fitted. But the Swytch support have been great (until then decided to stop replacing handle-bar bracket free of charge - and now want £78). And we've stopped using max power on steep hills, which seems to be extending the life of the brackets. Hopefully the later versions have the bracket reliability sorted.

fantastic customer support. The product is exactly like they say, and easy to install. I really love the bike. an electric bike cost over $3000, why not convert the one you already have and love.

i was pleased with my Swytch kit upgrade until it started miss-behaving power coming in and out unpredictably and sometimes difficult to turn on at all. I suspect the power controller to be faulty. what would be the cost of replacing this part?

Would happily change to 5 star if they’d put replacement parts on their site. The product is excellent, but if you (due to your own clumsiness) break the magnetic ring, plan on looking elsewhere.

Very pleased with my swytch kit which I have been using for 2 years only thing I will say is I have repositioned the battery and fitted to the seat post and greatly improved the handling of my bike. Perhaps should have been an option when buying new.
